Hindu Saint on Hunger Strike for Ram Temple Construction forcefully lifted by Yogi police, detained illegally to break his fasting, finally admitted into a hospital.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Haridwar | Oct 8, 2018:: It is unbelievable that Sant-Mahants (seers and religious heads) are being extremely humiliated, tortured and even murdered in the regime of High Hindutva acclaimed Yogi Raj running in the Modi line. These seers and religious heads are engaged in Cow Protection or demanding early construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya and other Hindutva related issues. Uttar Pradesh Police under Mahant Yogi Adityanath is frequently seen as failed to protect the Hindu interest or posed as the persecutor or being cause of humiliation of the Hindu seers and saints.

Two Hindu monks were killed by Jihadi elements for opposing cow slaughter in UP’s Auraiya in a temple premises in Kudarkot+. The Hindu monks were tied up in their cots when sleeping at intervening night of 15-16 August and brutally chopped off their tongues and silted their necks and throats. The victims were getting threats from many corners to stop their ‘Save Cow’ activities and reported the same to the Yogi police beforehand for getting protection. But, police arrested only five persons in that murder case putting the whole matter unsolved and unpunished.

Now Uttar Pradesh Police under Yogi Adityanath extremely humiliated a Hindu Mahant who was on a hunger strike since 1st Oct for a single pointed demand of starting the Construction of Ram Temple without any further delay.

Swami Paramhans Das, Mahant of Ayodhya’s Tapaswi Chhawni, who is on an indefinite hunger strike demanding the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, was forcefully detained by the police late on Sunday night.

He has been fasting for the last seven days. The police reportedly took him to a hospital without giving any paper on arrest or detention.

The incident occurred hours after Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Satish Mahana met the Mahant in the fasting venue.

After the meeting the saint, minister Mahana said, “I humbly requested Mahant Paramhans Swamiji to break his fast. I have come here as an emissary of the chief minister Yogiji. If he wishes to meet the chief minister I will discuss it with him and will try to facilitate it tomorrow if required.”

But, available video shows that police lashed an operation all on a sudden in the late night and forcefully lifted the fasting Mahant and dumped into an Govt Ambulance without placing him even on any stretcher. Pathetically, the fasting Mahant was shifted to ambulance from his resting place in a hanging position dragging his hands and legs.

When the other inmates of the mutt and local people protested on it, the police suppressed their voice in an autocratic way. Police cut off the power supply of the Ashram and barged into it. Dispersing the disciples of the Mahant from the spot police manhandled the Mahant to shit into an ambulance.

A source said that AHP leader Dr Togadia was likely to meet the fasting Mahant in the very next morning. Apprehending a reaction due to the meeting of Dr Togadia with the fasting Mahant, Police evicted the later from his Mutt.

Sharing details of this meeting with the UP minister, Mahant Paramhans told ANI, “Minister Satish Mahana requested me to break the hunger strike. He told me that he will arrange a video-conferencing with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. I want to request Prime Minister Modi to facilitate construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple through the same route which was taken for construction of Somnath temple in Gujarat.”

On October 6, a delegation of saints associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) met President Ram Nath Kovind demanding immediate construction of a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Seeing the mounting pressure for Ram Mandir Construction by the Ayodhya Seers and on a calculation of Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP)’s Lucknow to Ayodhya March led by Dr Pravin Togadia on 21st Oct, the Yogi Govt in Uttar Pradesh is imposing an undeclared emergency day by day.

It is highly objectionable that Yogi Govt in Uttar Pradesh is gradually increasing police excesses on Ram Bhakts and activists of Ram Mandir Movement if not matching with RSS-VHP-BJP’s secular line.

PM Modi and CM Yogi must realize that it will be catastrophe for them, if the Hindu Saints, Seers and Crores of Ram Bhakt Hindus go against them as Modi-Yogi combine who are clearly dishonoring the demand of Hindus for a magnificent temple at Ram Janmabhoomi at Ayodhya.
