Sulabh Shinde | HENB | Goa | May 3, 2021:: ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar has always made Hindus alert about the growing population of Muslims. Many of his predictions have come true. In 1920, when the Muslim population in India reached 22%, riots broke out across the country in the name of supporting the Khilafat movement, killing millions of Hindus in Kerala and Bengal. Muslims, who again made up 22% of the population in 2020 repeated history after 100 years by rioting in Delhi and killing many Hindus. In 1947, when their population reached 35%, they caused riots across the country and divided India. If their population reaches 35% in 2047, the Partition of India will repeat itself. If we want to avoid the repetition of this history and save Hindus, then we have to follow the path of Swatantryaveer Savarkar’, said Shri. Ranjit Savarkar, Executive President of ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar National Memorial’. He was speaking at a special online webinar on ‘Hinduhrudaysamrat Veer Savarkar: Centenary of release from Andaman prison’ organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. The programme was viewed by more than Five thousand people on YouTube on 1st May.

In his age of 28, Savarkar was convicted and sentenced to 50-years imprisonment and transported on 4 July 1911 to the infamous Cellular Jail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Though he was considered by the British government as a political prisoner, he had to face rigorous torture and repression there all of inhumane nature. On 2 May 1921, Krantiveer Savarkar was moved to a jail in Ratnagiri in Maharashtra from the Kalapani of Andaman.

Speaking on the occasion, the Information Commissioner of India and a senior journalist Shri. Uday Mahurkar said that Veer Savarkar’s staunch nationalism was an obstacle for appeasing the Muslims and he was opposed by the Congress. Had Savarkar been followed, the country would not have been divided in 1947. He had been talking about the preparations for Partition since 1936. If Savarkar’s thoughts are put into action, the whole country can become one. But these people do not want that. Savarkar is opposed by three types of people, one is the Muslim political parties, the other is the Communist party and the third is the political party which is begging for the votes of Muslims ! Speaking on the occasion, famous writer and preacher Shri. Satchidanand Shewde said that due to persecution in the Andamans, some prisoners committed suicide, while others went insane; however, enduring all these severe tortures, Veer Savarkar wrote thousands of pages of timeless literature in the national interest. He purified the converted Hindus by saying, “Dharma has a place in the heart, not in the stomach”. Savarkar taught Hindus to preserve their national identity. The youth organiser of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shri. Sumit Sagvekar said that if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who called Savarkar an apologist, had the courage, he should go to the Andamans and show how an oil mill can be operated by bare hands. What can be expected from those who go to Bangkok for a break after giving only two or three speeches ? The ‘Tukade Tukade gang’ that blackened Savarkar’s statue in JNU should first answer, ‘Why did Comrade Dange apologise to the British and say ‘I will remain loyal to the British’ ?
