The first Hindu-American Lt. Governor of Maryland Aruna Miller took the oath on Bhagavad Gita that created high irritation among the fundamental Muslims in the United States.

Agni Paul | HENB | Annapolis (Maryland) US | Jan 19, 2023:: In a first, an Indian-American politician Aruna Miller (58) has created history by taking oath as the lieutenant governor of the state of Maryland adjacent to the American capital. Aruna, a former delegate to the Maryland House, is the state’s 10th lieutenant governor from the Democratic Party.

A lieutenant governor is the second highest government post in a state after the governor. Aruna has assumed this new responsibility when the Governor is out of the state or otherwise incapacitated. Born in Andhra Pradesh’ Hyderabad of India, Aruna also mentioned her family in her opening speech. Aruna said that she was seven years old when her family immigrated to America. Aruna’s entire family, new governor Wes Moore and state lawmakers were present at the swearing-in ceremony. Miller, a well acclaimed Transportation Engineer for last 25 yrs expressed her origin in Hindu faith and took the oath on Bhagavad Gita. Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller swore the oath of office on Wednesday (Jan 18), she placed her hand on a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, a highest esteemed Hindu text — likely any first lieutenant governor to do so in the United state.

“Hinduism is not just a religion, I think it’s more of a culture,” Miller said. “We are seekers of peace and making sure that good things happen in the world and to others as well.”

But, the Ismist forces in the US retaliate to the fact of occupying a highest post by a Hindu lady in the country.

The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) opposed Aruna Miller’s oath taking on Bhagavad Gita and described Miller as an agent of  Hindutva, Hindu Facism, RSS and BJP as such. IAMC took out a protest rally outside the Maryland House on Wednesday to express Islam’s intolerance to other faiths only to uphold its Jihadi mentality all over the world.

Describing Aruna Miller’s position as Lt Governor of Maryland as ‘dangerous’, IAMC demanded her resignation from the post to remove the ‘fascist encroachment’ in the state authority. IAMC took their twitter handle to oppose Aruna in a series of tweets.

Ridiculously, the fundamentalist IAMC never objected to the terroist activities of Taliban, ISIS or any Jihadi groups being the highest threat for world peace and prosperity. Such a protest of IAMC against Aruna Miller shows the increasing Islamic intolerance in the US and promotion of Jihadi activism very unfortunately.

Aruna’s father, who migrated after the passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 removed racial and national-origin quotas to allow a new generation of immigrants to enter the United States. She graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a degree in civil engineering in 1989, and worked for 25 years at the local Department of Transportation in Montgomery County. Miller has served two terms in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2010 to 2018.

   As a general rule, that almost invariably works: if the Muslims oppose you, then you are on the right track.
