It is easy for people who have fled from Hindu faith to return home: Puri Shankaracharya.

Hindu organisations must give priority to make Paravartan (reconversion) to combat the increasing trend of Christian and Islamic conversions: Govardhan Peeth Puri Shankaracharya Nischalanand Saraswati.

Magh MelaUpendra Bharti | HENB | Prayag Raj (Hanumanganj) | Jan 22, 2023:: . On Sunday, the second day of Mauni Amavasya, a large number of devotees reached for the dialogue program of Puri Peethadhishwar Shankaracharya 1008 Swami Nischalananda Saraswati at the camp located at Triveni Marg of Magh Mela area.

Seeing the crowd, the devotees of the camp organized the program in a big pandal.

In the public dialogue, Shankaracharya Nischalanand described the return of the people who had migrated from Hindu religion as very easy. Shankaracharya told that he went to the place of his predecessor Shankaracharya of Puri Peeth Niranjandev in Beawar district of Rajasthan. Some Muslim representatives there met him and said that their forefathers were Kshatriyas and  they had knowledge of their Kuldevi and gotra. They wanted to return to Hinduism. According to their wish, the foundation of their Kuldevi was laid. When the temple of the family goddess was completed on their own land,  thousands of Muslims converted back to Hinduism.

Similarly, 365 forest dwellers of Jharkhand who had become Christians, they were also made to return to Hinduism as per their wish. Once again Shankaracharya called the ancestors of Indian Christians as Hindus.

The Puri seer urged the Hindu organisations to give priority to make Paravartan (reconversion) to combat the increasing trend of Christian and Islamic conversions.

In response to a question, Shankaracharya said that due to untimely devotion of two Kshatriya princes Mahavira and Gautam Buddha, aimlessness spread among the Kshatriyas and Sanatan Hindu became weak. At the time of India’s independence, there were four Shankaracharyas in the country along with  365 kings in princely states. If Kshatriyas were associated with Shankaracharyas in all the four directions in a good co-ordination, then Sanatan Hindu Dharma would not have declined so much.

Indeed it is very important to avoid and outgrow the indoctrination of Islam and Christianity because they are totally opposite to the truth of life, existence and consciousness. But WHY BE A HINDU? While there are some good things in Hinduism like idea of Selfless work in Bhagwat Gita, Akroadh or non-anger in Manu Smriti, still it is best to outgrow Hinduism as well and always be in a state of INDEPENDENCE with love as one’s nature and truth as the element of life.

Puri Shankaracharya has been an ardent supporter of rigid cast hierarchy which is discriminatory and birth based. This Jati Varna System of Hindus has been there since last 2000 to 1800 years as can be demonstrated using genetics as well as the travelogues of Chinese and Arab Travelers which unanimously mention that they that is various jatis in Hindustan do not marry with each other and do not share their profession. A discriminatory and harmful practice of compartmentalized and boxed endogamous groups where profession is hereditary along the blood line and so is the social status. Caste is a Portuguese term but is approximately correct which quite well describes Hindu Social system as was observed by Portuguese invaders which were the first European invaders to India since Alexander. Hindu Shastras sanctify and glorify this harmful and evil cast system by giving a delusion that it has been there since the time of Manu which is not correct as Hindu history lakes depth of time and Hindu Shastras are unreliable and these ideas have been back projected into a more distant past. Why will then one would remain a Hindu? Like Ambedkar would he or she not leave it? Why wouldn’t that be?

Puri Shanjkarachar is saying that leave Islam and Christianity and come back to Hinduism. In Islam and Christianity which divide the world into believers and non-believers the condition is that you have to convert. On the other hand in Hinduism you are forever restricted and suppressed due to your birth which you cannot change. There is a lot of discrimination within Christian and Muslim communities too, but it is not systematized and glorified like in Hinduism.

Further, when people of Brahmin cast trace back their ancestry to Vedic Rushis, what those Rushis did was spiritual progress which is inherent in life and consciousness irrespective of ones yoni, birth, race, region, gender etc etc. Why to glorify those Rushis and then act in a completely opposite way by linking holiness and greatness to ones birth? Brahmins in India were not necessarily rich, but they were certainly privileged, like for example the punishment for the same offense was not as severe for a Brahmin as that given to a person of lower cast for the same offense.

The truth is all people of India, people of different cast are the same people and things like Brahmin cast tracing their ancestry to Vedic Rishis is an artificial construct to give a legitimacy to their claim, and to strengthen their position in society by introducing things like hundreds of thousands of years of punishment in afterlife for harming a Brahmin. Whatever upward and downward mobility that was encountered in various social groups was out of circumstances and not by design. Individual mobility out of caste meant being ostracized and outcasted. This undermines individual dignity and freedom as an individual is always an infinite independent existence. According to Hindu Shastras, including Bhagwat Gita, one’s caste that is jati is yoni and is birth based, and then it is justified by Purusha Sukta in Rig Veda that caste is god ordained and that one gets to be born in a higher caste according to his or her karmas. Purusha Sukta is from a time when caste system did not exist and it only mentions structure of a society being analogous to body parts of a virat purusha and does not mentions endogamy and hereditary profession. Saying that a person of lower caste can also attain moksha or liberation is opium for the masses and caste system is there to strengthen the hold of a certain privileged section of a society over the masses. Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra is just the tendency of a person inherent in him or her as to what that person is likely to be naturally comfortable with and the very basis of them is quite contrary to caste system. Like a person prefers and is more comfortable with studying and teaching, or being athletic and physically active, or doing a specific repetitive or creative or arbitrary task or exploring and trading and everyone has one or more of these traits which is by virtue of the diversity and richness of life and nature and not dependent or justifiable by birth based hierarchy and discrimination.

Would you explain this to Shankaracharya of Puri? Existence and consciousness is vast and life is beyond artificial and false constructs. After life as a whole including external and internal environment is consciousness that corresponds to and is the logical extension of one’s consciousness that is his or her very feel in his or her heart of hearts and is beyond time, space and conditioning of birth, caste, creed, gender etc.
And then after explaining this ask him, based on the way he has been speaking of caste all these years, why should a Isaai or a Musalman become a Hindu and make this transitioning from being in the jaws of a crocodile to being constricted and slowly suffocated to death in a python’s grip?
