B Upendran | HENB | Puttur | Dec 4, 2023:: Veteran Kannada actress and BJP leader Malavika Avinash asserted that Hindu young women who marry a Muslim would lose their extensive rights as enjoyed in the Sanatana Hindu Dharma fold.
Pointing to the increasing love Jihad everywhere,Malavika also raised questions about the condition of converting to Islam, stating, “If such a condition is imposed, what kind of love is that?”
The famed actress, television personality and BJP politician Malavika Avinash made these remarks while speaking at ‘Nari Shakti Sangama,’ a district-level women’s convention in Tenkila on Sunday, Puttur town. The programme was held at the Vivekananda English Medium School Auditorium on the topic, “‘Women in Indian Thought”.
Highlighting the differences between Hindu and Muslim traditions, she emphasised that Hinduism follows monogamy with equal rights for husband and wife, while Islam allows polygamy.
She clarified, “In Muslim religion there is a system of polygamy. A Hindu girl marrying someone from another religion is deprived of her equal rights”. She also he analyzed the inevitability of living with multiple spouses in a Muslim family.
She also indicated how a huge number of Hindu girls and women are fallen victimized in a truce of ‘love jihad’being abandoned by their Muslim partners under sexual exploitation, physical torture and mental shock. Many of Hindu girls and women are murdered by the fatal Love Jihad in its extreme brutality.
Avinash urged young girls to understand the true meaning of love and cautioned them to think about the consequences of converting to Islam in the name of so called love.
She also argued, “legally, the framework of marriage and divorce is designed to protect women’s interests, whereas Sharia law permits four wives”.
Avinash emphasised the equal property rights enjoyed by Hindu women, which they would lose upon conversion.
“There was no discrimination between man and woman in Indian thought since ancient times. It did not go to reform Hindu religion. Instead, people within the Hindu Dharma have reformed the society,” she added.
Malavika said that the aim of destroying religious culture and traditions and achieving equality by that is not for Hindu religion.
