Dalai Lama praised the pattern of Coexistence in Hindu majority India. While he urges China to learn this coexistence, why he is silent about the Hindu-Tamil Genocide in Sri Lanka?

Dalai Lama Asks China to Learn from India’s model of coexistence. But, why he is silent about the Hindu-Tamil Genocide in Sri Lanka, a Buddhist Country?

Chinese intolerance against Buddhists.

Chinese intolerance against Buddhists. Brutal.

Upananda Brahmachari | Shillong | 7 Feb 2014:: On 3rd February in his first holy visit to North Eastern India, the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness Dalai Lama said, China should learn from India the practice of harmonious co-existence of different people, languages and lifestyles.

“They should learn from India, which has apart from different regions, different people, different languages, different scripts and different lifestyles. Yet they all live harmoniously,” the Dalai Lama said while addressing the sixth convocation ceremony of the Martin Christian Luther University here at Shillong.

The spiritual leader, who visited Meghalaya for the first time since he made India his home, termed his adopted country as “wonderful and very nice” to live in.

He likened the country to the United Nations in its embracing a multi-cultural, multi-racial and multi-religion society, while blaming Chinese hardliners for infusing hatred against people living in Tibet. “We are not seeking separation from China. We belong to China with common interests and common economic development,” HH Dalai Lama emphasized.

“Modern India is multi-cultural, multi-linguistic and multi-racial. It is like the United Nations. I feel the greatness of India. Its people are harmless, and it is an example to the rest of the world as people are living together happily,” the Buddhist spiritual leader and the Nobel Peace laureate said.

Claiming to be a disciple of Gandhi’s principle of non-violence, the spiritual leader said he nursed a hope that India’s “concept of peaceful living” would make a better Asia and in turn make a better world.

“Over 3,000 years ago, India had the concept of Ahimsa (non-violence). Because of that it commands respect,” he said, adding that India was the living example of religious tolerance and culture.

His Holiness Dalai Lama holds the highest position in contemporary Buddhist order, he is the messenger of peace and ahimsha as propounded by lord Buddha and also the Nobel Peace laureate. HH Dalai Lama is also a living founder member of VHP established in 1964. We never put any question about his honor and wisdom to shower the peace and good to the mankind.

After reaching Bharat on 30 March 1959 at Bomdila (Arunachal Pradesh) he felt secured in his life long exile after being thwarted  from his seat of Tibet by the then tyrannic Communist Govt of China.

Sri Lankan genocide against Tamil-Hindus. Barbaric.

Sri Lankan genocide against Tamil-Hindus. Barbaric.

In his long experience of exile in India, His Holiness Dalai Lama definitely perceives the greatness and generosity of Bharat and her people. And HH Dalai Lama must not disagree that this coexistence, harmony, liberty and the trend of respects to others are only possible as the majority people here have granted this unique and imparallel culture as a basic tenets of Hindu faith and life-style. And for this Hindu spirituality and majority everybody can stay, grow and glow in a very Hindu environment. Any challenge or charter against this Hinduness of this land can move this country towards an Islamic fatal, Christian debacle or a Communist blaze without any option.

But, never could I remember any statement HH Dalai Lama to protect this Hinduness of this land under attack in the recent past.

The Dalai Lama went to Shillong to attend a function of a Christian College, the authority of which, i.e. the Missionaries and Evangelic groups promote huge conversion of Hindus-Buddhists in North East. Christians have made the major portion of the NE as just opposite to the Indian Culture. The NE Christian people do tolerate any Hindu or Indian-ness in that region. HH Dalai Lama did not address this important matter to request the Christian missionaries to stop their conversion agenda.

HH Dalai Lama asks China to restore peace and liberty in Tibet through a practice of Indian tradition and culture of coexistence in China.

But, is it not right to be implemented the same practice of Indian coexistence in Sri Lanka too?

Sri Lanka has its Buddha Sasana. And under this Buddha Sasana, it is told a largest genocide of Tamil-Hindus were occurred there through various operations be inhuman ruling parties in SL.

Various International bodies, UN, Amnesty, dignified Tamil bodies and Hindu Existence Forum have condemned the Hindu-Tamil Genocide in SL. But is not a concern of Buddha Sasana, as if.

While HH Dalai Lama speaks against Chaina rightly for making a peaceful coexistence of everybody in Tibet and China, He cannot be silent about Sri Lanka where the simple existence of Tamil-Hindu people are now positioned before the peace canon of Rajapakshe under a very inhumane stand against the non-Buddhist people in Sri Lanka.

HH Dalai Lama please hear the appeal of victimized Tamil-Hindu people of Sri Lanka for sending a strong message to the rulers of Sri Lanka to stop barbaric activities upon the Tamil –Hindu people in SL.

If HH Dalai Lama thinks that Hindu-Buddhist unity is a must to survive these two oldest faiths against the threats of Christianity, Islam and Communism, he must condemn the Hindu-Tamil Genocide in SL and convey the same message of coexistence of Indian pattern to Sri Lankan rulers, as he already conveyed to China.

Revival of Hindu Rashtra in Nepal is connected with the Establishment of a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat.

Revival of ancient Hindu Rashtra in Nepal

Why, What and Whom for Secularism in Nepal?

Revive the ancient Hindu Rashtra in present Nepal immediately.

By Dirgha Raj Prasai.

hindu existence logoNepal was bigger during the ancient time. ‘Himwatkhanda-Nepal’ extended from Bramhaputra in the East to Hindukush in the west, Kailash Mansovar in the North and Ganga in the South. In time the ‘Himwatkhanda Nepal’ disintegrated into many smaller nations. The fact is mentioned in the Prayaga archive of Samudra Gupta, the son of Bikramaditya, that ‘Nepal’ is a place lying in between Kamrup (current Assam) and Karkarpur (current Kumau). We can infer from these facts that Himwatkhanda Nepal in the ancient times was bigger than what is today. This area of the Himwatkhanda is the golden land. A veteran Rishi (Hindu’s ascetic Guru) in a special Vedic scripture has mentioned about Himwatkhanda, “Bharatkhande Utarayane Himalaya Tate Swarnabhumi, Swarnabhumi,” meaning ‘the northern part of Bharatkhande, the Himalayan mountains is the golden land and just haven’. We can draw inference as to the greatness of this land. Kalidash in his ‘Kumaar Sambhav’ has mentioned, “The land from Eastern Himalayas to the Western Himalayas is the Arya land.” Before the Muslim and English regime, Bharatbarsha had comprised 25 nations. After the unification of India by East India Company, then India was called Hindustan. But, before the King, the creator of greater Nepal- Prithvi Narayan Shah 1800 B.S (Bikram Sambat era) had said- ‘Nepal is the real ‘Hindusthana‘ at 1800 Bs (1753, AD)

During the time when Himwatkhanda Nepal remained a unified country the current powerful nations were divided into many smaller nations. Bismark had unified Germany, which had existed in the façade of many smaller nations, a hundred years after Nepal’s unification. Italy was also divided into many smaller nations a hundred years before Nepal’s unification, which was transformed into a greater Italy by good sons as Kabur and Gyalibhardi. Japan came out of the dark-age under the leadership of its King after Mehiji restoration hundred years after Nepal’s unification. Two decades before the unification of Nepal the now superpower America was a British colony. Prithvinarayan Shah had already unfurled the flag depicting the Sun and the Moon and unified the small kingdoms into a Himwatkhanda Nepal to save the tradition of this area. The Sanskrit language was the popular language of ancient Nepal and India. A famous Scholar Max Mucller has written in his book- ‘India-What Can it teach us’-‘ Sanskrit no doubt has an immense advantage over all other ancient language of the East. In a certain Sense we are still speaking and thinking Sanskrit or more correctly Sanskrit is like a dear aunt to use and she takes the place of a mother who is no more. Let us take a brief look at additional evidence to help verify the ides that Sanskrit was the original language of the world, and that it is connected with numerous countries and cultures. Latin and Persian are dialects of Sanskrit. Greek has borrowed a lot from Sanskrit. French & English are full Sanskrit words, roots and speech forms.

So, the identification of Himwatkhanda Nepal is associated with the ancient Vedic Hindu religion. May all be happy in the world and let no one suffer from disease and be sad. May no one keep ill will towards another being? May all be liberal and compassionate? ‘Basudhaiv Kutumbakam’. All humans of the world are our relatives. May all receive equal amount of food, relation and shelter. Let us become a liberal character of compassion and be active for omnipresent. May all worlds be well? ‘OM- Shanti’  is Vedic Hindu customs cleansed indicative. The welfare and happiness of all is the supreme system which is the belief of the Vedic Hindu society. Dr. Basudev Krishna Shastri writes, “Hindus worship the Sun. The light that emanates from Sun is common for all. Without water no living being can survive. This is everyone’s right. Such things are beyond divisions, and consumed by all as per their necessity. For the prosperity of human life there must remain equal right and prerogative among us. No one should be hindered from contributing to their nation. So it is mentioned in the Veda, ‘Let us all rise for national awareness.’” This shows that Hindu religion is the vehicle that would show path to all human societies. Bramha- Bishnu-Maheshwor (the three Lords) is the guidance of Vedic Hindu life. In the ancient, Vedic Hindu religions the supreme is the ocean where anyone can swim anyhow.

Among all religions of the world Hindu religion is considered as the most liberal. According to renowned philosopher Voltaire, Hinduism is the best gift of the East to the West. Similarly, George Bernard Shaw, Irish litterateur also said ‘Hindu religion is the most important and the most liberal religion in the world. According to Encyclopedia of Religions and Ethics, signs of Hindu religion are even found in the present Islamic country like Iran. A stone scripture of 486 BC found in Iran contains the words Hindu and Hindus. Even an ancient Parsi scripture ‘Shatir’ has lifted a word of Ved Vyas ‘I am a true Hindu born in a Hindu country’. Another Hindu philosopher Manu has taken the area between Bindhya in south India and the Himalayas in the north as Aryabrata, the land of Aryans. Even outside travelers like Megasthaniz and Fai Han have written in their travel memoirs after their visit of the Kingdom of Chandra Gupta Maurya that Hindus have tall figure, long life, healthy, who avoid narcotics, simple, intelligent, truthful, who do not keep witness in transactions, do not lock their houses and there is no theft. So, in the evolutionary process of the world’s civilization, Hindu philosophy is taken as liberal, simple and tolerant.

The declaration of Nepal as a Hindu Kingdom does not signify just its religion rather it is taken as the source of Nepalese nationalism and an inseparable part of Nepal. So, the party leaders made a grave mistake by declaring Nepal as a secular state. If instead of declaring Nepal as solely a Hindu country, it would have made sense if it were declared both Hindu and Buddhist country. But it is a matter of serious concern for whose interest Nepal was declared a secular state. Nepal is a small country and on the south there is a big country with open border. There are about 800 million Hindus and Indian Hindus respect Nepal as a Hindu kingdom. This should be taken as a matter of pride for us. For security reasons also, Nepal has a big advantage by being a Hindu country. If the Maoists are for Nepal’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, all Nepalese request them to change their idea about secularism. Even if one is a Christian or a Muslim, they should support to keep Nepal a Hindu country. But the seven political parties have made a great mistake by announcing Nepal as a secular state.

Even if one talks about secularism, the census 2001 AD can be taken as referendum. That time those who call them intellectuals, leaders of ethnic communities and communists and those who call themselves Christians had made campaign not to write anything in the column for religion or not to write Hindu as their religion. But the Hindus never confronted them or made it an issue. Despite the campaign against Hinduism, the number of Hindus in Nepal was found to be 82 per cent. If one keeps the Buddhists out the number of Hindus before the 2001 census was 83 per cent. Half of the diminished numbers were increased in Buddhism and Kiratis and there was half percentage point increment in Christians. The rise in Buddhism and Kiratis do not make much of a difference because Buddhism and Hinduism are complementary to each other and Kiratis also worship the same gods such as Shiva and Bhagawati like the Hindus.

Therefore, if instead of declaring Nepal as solely a Hindu country, it would have made sense if it were declared both Hindu and Buddhist country. But it is a matter of serious concern for whose interest Nepal was declared a secular state. No one has right to trample believe and conviction of more than two-thirds majority of the people. Even if there is a referendum, more than 85 percent Nepalese will vote for a Hindu country. More than that Hindus have the freedom to pursue their own way of observing the religion. Therefore, if Nepal is to be declared a secular country, all countries, which call themselves as Christian or Muslim countries should also be declared secular countries. If they want Nepal to become a secular country, they should also be willing to shun their ‘Cross’ of the Christians, ‘sign of David’ of the Jews and ‘Kaba’ of Muslims. Actually, Kaba shrine is a pre-Islamic Shiva temple where the Hindu practice of perambulation is still meticulously observed and strictly followed. However, it needs to be pondered that even if Nepal was a Hindu Kingdom, its nature was  a defacto secular country as Hindus have never done anything that would harass or trouble other religions. (So, the abolition of an only official  Hindu Rashtra (Nation-State) in Nepal in 2008 was actually a clear violation of secularism as public realize it now generally. At least Maoists are not secular any way. They are the bloody Communists against Humanity in all sense. Ed. Hindu Existence).

It is shameful to write that in Nepal there are some existing international non-governmental organization (INGO) who are talking to develop Nepal but they were and has been involving in spreading the Christian religion with money and giving the fallacious assurance. The Nepalese religious people always regard the other religions. Nepal and the monarch never show the religious intolerance. From the very beginning, there are two Mosques in front of the Royal palace, near Clock Tower, have never faced intolerance. But, the so-called big party leaders and some civil society’ and INGO conveners who are the puppets Christian Mission are active to destroy the indigenous culture and identities. We should remember the quotation of Voltaire: “Christianity is the most ridiculous, the most absurd and bloody religion that has ever infected the world.”

Despite knowing this fact it is intriguing on whose interest the so-called big parties including Maoist declared Nepal a secular state. They had directly hurt the feeling of the majority of the Hindus in the country and more than 1 billion Hindus all over the world. Political leaders must rethink its decision. What they should have done is to remove the anomalies such as untouchables and other caste-based and social discriminations. This would have been the real tribute and service to the country and to the religion. Apart from some social anomalies there is nothing in Hindu religion that should be opposed. By declaring republic and Nepal a secular country; they are only serving the interest of a narrow group. Otherwise, if one thinks of the liberalism and tolerance, Hinduism comes first and foremost of all other religions.

If we want to understand the reality about the secularism we can study the national history of India. A world renowned Hindutva analyst Stephen Knapp says- India is slowly losing the Vedic culture (Hinduism) is through the process of secular or Christian education. In public schools all Vedic books have been removed from the curriculum. There are no possibilities to study the ancient Hindu literature or art in such institutions. The Hindu population is slowly forgetting the unique history and lofty culture of their home land. 5th Feb. 2008- Peoples Review). In fact the Christian saints order to destroy the huts where they keep the idols of Hindu’s God & Goddess and to break the statues of Hindus idols into tiny pieces. That was there goal to destroy Hindu & Buddha culture and make the country a Christian nation. The most dangerous steps is that the Indian Congress I- leadership groups are all Christians.

The Cultural Analyst Stephen Knnap writes- India is a predominantly Hindu nation.  83% of the Indian population is Hindu.  But it is a matter of great regret that India is the only country in the world where the Hindu majority population is being ruled by the other 17% minority communities. Sonia Gandhi, the President of the ruling Congress Party is a practicing Catholic Christian. Her son Rahul Gandhi who is being groomed as the next Prime Minister of India is also a Christian.  Sonia’s daughter Priyanka Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra are also Christians.  India’s Defense Minister is A K Anthony, a Christian. Sonia’s closest advisers are Christains:  Margaret Alva (resigned recently), Oscar Fernandez,  Ambika Soni, all are Christians. (yes, despite Ambika’s big Hindu sounding  name, she is a Christian).

It is a matter of grief that the nonsense foreigners (both the Evangelic and Arabic Groups – Ed. Hindu Existence) who want to destroy the Nepalese identities, sovereignty had and have been supporting the Maoist groups. A Nepalese  political analyst Prakash A. Raj  writes-‘The end of monarchy in Nepal and the declaration of republic would not have been possible without the support of Government of India as the Indian brokerage of ’12 Point Accord’ played the most important role in the success of Jana Andolan-2 (public agitation)  in 2006. Thus. India,  the secular country (actually anti-Hindu and run by an Italian lady – Ed. Hindu Existence) having the largest Hindu population in the world unfortunately played a dominant role in abolishing the only Hindu kingdom in the world. The stand taken by two European countries, Norway and Switzerland in supporting the Maoists after King Gyanendra took over power in February 2005 and before April 2006 is very revealing as it helped to gather support against the monarchy. Norway has shown a lot of interest in Nepal and was one of the few countries to welcome the first Maoist Prime Minister (Prachanda) of Nepal-2008. Now, all the foreigners are suffering by their mistakes.

Therefore, the question is why and how could they throw away the oldest and the most liberal of all religion just to serve the interest of another religion (Christian). The most important thing is that no religion and at the moment Hinduism must not be made a political issue. But by declaring republic & Nepal a secular state, they have made mixed religion with politics, which could be very dangerous and detrimental to the whole Nepalese society.  Now it is a high time Nepal should be careful to save her indigenous culture. So, let all Nepalese unite and raise voice to revert the irresponsible party’s decision and again declare the constitutional monarchy as well as Hindu Rashtra in Nepal as a fortified and flourishing land of traditional Hindus & Buddhists as a resource of Global Peace and Humanity.

(This revival of ancient Hindu Rashtra in Nepal mostly depends upon the tie-up of Nepal Monarchy and Public in a coherent good-faith, welfare of public by the existing Hindu dynasty in Nepal and Hindu Sentiment in general. But, the role of Bharat is the main factor which must be a pro-Hindu form from all sides. Unless and until Bharat is declared as a Hindu State within 2025, the revival of a Hindu State in Nepal is remote. Revival of Hindu Rashtra in Nepal is now connected with the Establishment of a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat. So, the adherent Hindus of Nepal and Bharat (India) must fight jointly for the Hindu States both in Bharat and Nepal. Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram! Jai Bharat Hindu Rashtra !! Jai Nepal Hindu Rashtra !!! – Ed. Hindu Existence).

RESCUE BENGALI SPEAKING HINDU – BUDDHIST PEOPLE FROM ROHINGYA MUSLIM CAMPS IN MYANMAR. DON’T EQUATE ROHINGYA REBELLIONS AND BANGALI HINDUS IN A SAME ROW. SAVE BANGALI HINDUS IN MYANMAR.

Bengali Speaking Hindus – Buddhists are not the Rohingya Muslims. Save Myanmar Hindus from the onslaught of Rohingya Muslims.

~ Upananda Brahmachari.

The hell-bent Islam is disturbing the peace, destroying the civilization and degenerating the human ethos all along. From Myanmar to Michigan, Xinjiang to Rakhaine,  Delhi to Detroit, London to Leh, Asia to America, Europe to Australia, Antarctica to Africa, the carcinogenic Jihadi scars are manifesting its unbound growth all over the human society in a frame of fatal death trap. The Arakan region of Myanmar is also severely epitomized with a Jihadi upsurge against Burmese (Myanmar) State by the Bangali (Bengali) speaking Rohingya Muslims originally hailed from the nearby Chittagong region of Bangladesh. Over the last 200 years these Rohingya ethnic groups have been trying to gain their Islamic supremacy over the local Burmese Buddhist people. Consequent conflicts never end and under a demand of citizenship for all Rohingya people and the autonomous council for all recent intruders from Bangladesh, situation worsened. Communal clashes between Rohingya Muslims and the Rakhaine Buddhists marked many more spots in the culpable calendar.

Definitely, the bouts of ethnic violence in the Rakhine region of Myanmar since the middle of this year have once again triggered the attempted exodus of Rohingyas into Bangladesh. But,  the Myanmar government continues to take the stand to deny citizenship to the Rohingyas, claiming that their ancestors, originating from areas now part of Bangladesh, unlawfully trespassed into and settled in the Rakhine region. On the other hand the Government of Bangladesh argues that it is an internal problem of Myanmar, and a more apathetic Bangladeshi policy regarding the Rohingyas would simply instigate a governance failure in Myanmar. Within these turmoil, the unrest from both the Buddhist nationalist citizens and the subversive Rohingya non-citizen Muslims, have chanced the Jihadi out cry in an international level.

The Islamic lobby in US, UK and India has set up a Rohingya Council to legitimize the claim of Citizenship of illegal Bangla speaking Rohingya Muslims in Arakan-Rakhine region or to rehabilitate the uprooted  Rohingya Muslims in India, USA, Canada, UK or in other non-Islamic states. In India, Hyderabad and Delhi are now being populated by these illegal Rohingya Muslims. In very recent Jamiat e Ulema Hind (India) urged Islamic nations to help Rohingyas’ cause. but never requested Arab, Pakistan or Bangladesh to resettle these Rohingya Muslim people in their Islamic land.

Interestingly, Bangladesh is not ready to return back any single Rohingya Muslim in Bangladesh land, rather it is hinted that the Rohingya Bengali speaking Muslims are getting arms-ammunitions-funds from Bangladesh based Islamic Jihadi groups to set a Jihadi regime in Rakhine state in Myanmar. However, the Buddhist people and the Buddhist monks are fighting their best to restore and retain a Buddhist-Burmese culture  in the Arakan-Rakhine area. In Yangon, the   Buddhist monks marched in roads to thwart Islamic planto make Arakan-Rakhine area as a IMF (Islamic Menace Free) region. Communal violence between Bangla speaking Rohinga Muslims and the Burmese speaking Buddhists are posed as a regular occurrence in Arakan. A state of Emergency has been declared in Rakhine State  by the President of Myanmar as on 10-6-2012.

But, out of this communal clashes, the Bengali speaking Hindu and Buddhist people in the Arakan-Rakhaine areas are being victimized  grossly. These Bangali (Bengali) speaking Hindus and Buddhist are quite different from Rohingya Muslims. Though both of these two different communities speak in a peculiar Bangla dialect akin to “Chittgang Bangla’, they are far different in their cultural and ethical values. While the Rohingya Muslims are subversive and Jihadi, the Bengali speaking Hindus and Buddhist are Nationalist, loyal to Myanmar Constitution and obviously peace-loving. But, out of a great mistake the Rohingyas and Bangali Hindus are being kept in same Refugee camps, where the later Banglai Hindus are being  onslaught of Rohingya Muslims, the Bangali Hindu women and girls are being raped or pregnant by Islamist Rohingyas.

Some of the Hindu community members who were evacuated from Rohingya (Bengali Muslims) Camps in Myanmar

Report narrates that: Ninety eight Bengali speaking – Non Rohingya – Hindus were sent to refugee camps treating them as Rohingya Muslim, but those 98 Hindu refugees from 18 families were evacuated from Rohingya Muslim camp

98 people from 18 Hindu families were moved from their current shelter of Thae Chaung and Thak Kay Pron camps to Sittwe city due to increased threats by Bengali Muslim extremists after many reported rapes and attempted rapes and tortures committed by the Bengali Muslims who are majority in the camp.

The transfer was carried out by two military trucks and the Hindu refugees are now living in a Hindu temple located on Mongbagree road.

The existence of Hindu people in the Rohingya Muslim camp was first noticed by Ashin Virathu, a prominent monk from Mandalay’s famous Ma-Soe-Yin Buddhist institute. The monk expressed his concerns about the condition and suffering of the Hindu people in the wrong place. He also requested for the relocation of those people to a suitable place in a statement issued on 20th July, 2012.

It is reported that Rohingyas (Bengali Muslims) destroyed many Hindu temples during the riot. According to reliable sources, more than 40 Bangali speaking Hindus were beheaded and murdered by the same Bengali speaking RohingyaMuslim terrorists in Sittwe, Buthidaung and Maungdaw townships. However, those Hindu vict ims are not included in the government’s official death tolls of the communal riot.

Myanmar police covering in front of a Hindu temple which was burned down by Rohingyas ( the illegal Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants).

This is a great misunderstanding by the Buddhist resistance force and the Myanmar State authorities to treat the Bangali speaking Hindus of the Rohingya affected regions as same with the rebellion Muslim Jihadi force. Bangali speaking Hindus in Arakan-Rakhaine areas are not Rohingya Muslims and they must be rescued from the onslaught of Rohingya Muslim rebellions and the strict state proceedings upon Bangali speaking Hindus and Buddhist.

The Bengali speaking Hindu people are again being the victims of Rohingya Muslims in both the Rohingya Refugee camps and  out of the camps, in the spate of fresh communal violence in recent days. Myanmar Govt. must look into the matter very seriously to stop any torture upon Bangali Hindu people in the Arakan-Rakhaine affected regions.

As per Myanmar Govt. statistics, “the main religions of the country are Buddhism (89.2%), Christianity (5.0%), Islam (3.8%), Hinduism (0.5%), Spiritualism (1.2%) and others (0.2%). Religious intolerance or discrimination on grounds of religion is nonexistent in the Union of Myanmar throughout its long history”. But, now the less than 1% Hindus in Myanmar are facing the threat of total extinction.

The Myanmar Govt, Revered Aung San Suu Kyi, Revered Ashin Virathu of Ma-Soe-Yin Buddhist institute – Mandalay, the NRI – Human Rights Forums and Indian Govt. must look into the matter seriously, so that No Bangla speaking Hindu – Buddhist people can be victimized by the Rohingya Islamist nor be humiliated by state authority out of any  reluctance.

RESCUE BENGALI SPEAKING HINDU – BUDDHIST PEOPLE FROM  ROHINGYA MUSLIM CAMPS AND SAVE THEM IN JIHADI FIELDS OF ROHINGYAS IN MYANMAR.

Mosques in Buddhist Sacred place, Conversion of Tamil Hindus into Islam, Islamic Insurgency surfaced in Sri Lanka. Threat to Buddhist-Hindu Culture of Sri Lanka.

Posted by hinduexistence on October 17, 2012

United Buddhist-Hindu people in Sri Lanka must fight Islam to protect their existence from a clutch of Arab Expansionism.

Upsurging Islam in Sri Lanka: A Great threat to Buddhist-Hindu Culture of the island.

~Upananda Brahmachari.

Even we don’t want to realize this simple moral: When you quarrel someone else gains. The quarrel between Tamil Hindus and Sinhala Buddhist in Sri Lank paved the way to a huge rise of Islam in Sri Lanka as a threat to a Buddhist-Hindu Culture of Sri Lanka.

Even tender children read the fables of that two cats dispute the sharing a cake, while a monkey comes to settle the matter and finally ate whole of the cake left nothing for those cats. But, the world leaders of the most revered and ancient two religions i.e. Hindu and Buddhism do not care for an unity of them to fight against those Islamic Monkeys now trying a debacle in some districts of Sri Lanka in a regular fashion.

In the month of April (2012) last there were some die hard agitations by Muslims in the suburbs of Dambulla,  Kurunegala  and in the month of May (2012) it was in Dehiwala over the disputes for renovations of Mosques, where Sri Lanka Govt. ordered to shift those impugned Mosques so erected upon sacred Buddhist places.  In the dispute over a Dambulla mosque government planed to relocate it.  It had not gone down well with Sri Lanka’s Muslims and the country’s main Muslim party in the Govt coalition, Sri Lankan Muslim Congress  protested a little bit, but the hard-liners as Sri Lankan Muslim League confronted with the Police and Administration with tooth and nail.

Rauff Hakeem, leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) told reporters that he believed President Mahinda Rajapaksa was an experienced and mature leader and so there was no question of SLMC leaving the ruling coalition.

After an unusually packed Friday prayers (on 27th April, 202)in nearby mosques at the Colombo city, hundreds of mainly Muslim young men thronged the street protesting against the shifting of the  mosque at Dambulla because it’s allegedly built on land declared sacred by Buddhists. The police and the special combat force faced many difficulties to disperse the crazy people gathered in that Save Mosque congregation.

Such type  of Islamic shows of rowdyism are becoming common in Muslim concentrated areas of   Sri Lanka. The problem is related to the growth of Muslim population in Sri Lanka in recent times. Muslim percentage 0f 7.5% in 2001 census, has crossed the limit of 10% in 2011 as reports say. But, Muslims claim that they are 17% of the total population of Srilanka and they also demand apportioned participation and reservations in Govt Administration,  Police, Military and Finance.

Sri Lankan Muslims protest after Friday prayers outside a mosque in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Friday, April 27, 2012

A news published in Colombo Telegraph in recent, narrates that: “The vast majority of the Sri Lanka island’s Muslims are the descendants of Persian and Arab traders who settled on the island. Official estimates put the Muslim population of the country at around 7 percent, although Muslims believe their share of the population is much higher, perhaps as much as 17 percent of the total population. In Sri Lanka, such numbers are important because funding from the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs is spent proportionally on each religion.”

It goes further that: “During, the 30-year civil war between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam and the central government, the island’s Muslims, though Tamil-speaking, sided with the government against the LTTE. This was in part a result of thousands of Muslims being ejected from Jaffna in the early 1990s. During the conflict, the Sinhalese Buddhist majority courted the island’s Muslims, and many Muslims rose to prominent bureaucratic positions, while a handful even served in the Sri Lankan armed forces. “

Upon such act of imprudence to prop up Islamist in Sri Lanka, the Muslim problem in the island has been grown up in such a height that may be fatal for checking a force of Quran loving fanatic people  over the Buddhist – Hindu culture in Sri Lanka including the Buddha Sasana in the State.

The Muslims of the island are now engaged into conversion activities by alluring poor Hindu-Tamil people in the island.

Imams of mosques in Ampaa’rai district are engaged in converting members of poor Tamil Saiva families to Islam with financial inducement. Poor Tamil families from Chiththa’ndi, Mu’rakkottaancheanai, Chanthive’li, Kiraan and Ko’rakkallimadu who go work in rice mills, textile shops and brick making centres owned by Muslim businessmen are being coerced with inducements from the business owners according to sources.

About seventy five Saiva families of Nainaakdu have been converted to Islam. A mosque has also been constructed at the village for the use of converted Hindu-Tamil people.

Not only that, Tamil girls who are employed in textile shops owned by Muslims along Kalmunai-Akkaraippaththu road are also allegedly being sexually abused and used for prostitution, according to a report published in TamilNet.

This nature of Muslims towards Non-Muslims has been propounded by the orthodox Islamic views through their practice of Quranic doctrines.

Police in Akkaraipaththu and Kalmunai have failed to take action against complaints made related to prostitution as the Police officers are also being allegedly bought over by financial inducements from the Muslim organizers of the prostitution rings, local sources said.

Today the Hindu-Tamils are being victimized by the Sri Lankan Muslims.  They are being converted into Islam by allurement. The Saiva -Tamil girls are victim of prostitution by an Islamic conspiracy. But, these also be a problem of Buddhist people in Sri Lanka. An upsurging Islam in Sri Lanka cannot be trusted anyway.

Sinhala-Buddhist people and Tamil-Hindu people in Sri Lanka must be united to fight against Islamic expansionism in this island. Lord Buddha, the principal embodiment of Bodhi, is highly esteemed by Hindu people as an incarnation of Bhagavan Vishnu. For thousand of years these two ancient Dharma-Dhamma-belief fulfilled the space of spirituality all the time. With this natural bond, they have to come close together to fight against a deadly Arab doctrine through eliminating  all superficial differences.

Through this page, we expect a great initiatives of all Respected Buddhist Acharyas including Dalai Lama and The Hindu Saints including Shankaracharyas to draw a active strategy to maintain peace and amity in Indian sub-continent without any interference of brutal Islamic Jihad so far.

We also advocate for restoration of Bamiyan Buddha Statutes immediately there. These world famous Buddhist sculptures were destroyed by Taliban Muslims in Afghanistan in March, 2001. These dangerous people will destroy all non-Muslim culture everywhere, if they get any chance. Islam is dangerous. we have to understand it and must fight Islam unitedly.

Hinduism and Buddhism In Nepal

 By Dirgha Raj Prasai.
The religious structure of Nepalese society is formally Hindu; but here and only here the interplay of peoples and their religious traditions has produced a rich fusion of Hindu and Buddhist faiths. It is common for both Hindus and Buddhists to worship at the same shrine, for many gods and saints are cross-over, often known by a different name but holding the same attributes. The original inhabitants of the valley were animists, a tradition which survives in the multitude of spirits, demons, local deities, and stones which receive dutiful worship to this day. Hindu and Buddhist traditions adapted from the pre-existing animist practices and from each other. Indeed, in the medieval period, when both religions’ practice adopted mystical, Tantrik traditions, they were almost indistinguishable from each other.
An international scholar Aldous Huxley said-”The oldest aspects of Hindu mythology give place to the most profound and subtle utterances about the nature of ultimate reality, it is in itself a liberal education in humility, tolerance and suspense of judgment.” We can see The Great Wall of China; “the seventh wonders of the world” has a fourteen feet long Sanskrit incantation engraved on the western gate. Mongolian emperor Kublai Khan had written ‘OM Namo! Bhagawati’ including others in the 14th century. The Chinese Great Wall has many syllables from ‘Mahabharata’ written on the doors in Sanskrit language. It is not a common thing that the language was written in Kalipinya letters. Similarly, NEWSWEEK COLUMNIST Ms Lisa Miller says-’we are all Hindus. The Rig Veda, the most ancient Hindu scripture, says: “Truth is one, but the sages speak of it by many names.” A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. The most traditional, conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this. They learn in Sunday school that their religion is true, and others are false. Let us all say “OM.” when you chant “OM,” it will resonate not only in the room but down through the ages.’ May 13, 2010 at > http://www.newsweek.com/id/237910
Nepal’s History and Religions Nepal is a rich and complex mix of different cultures and traditions, melded over thousands of years into a unique whole. For the western traveler there is much that is familiar, and many surprises. Family and religion are of paramount importance, and are constantly reflected throughout the culture. Nepal moves to a different rhythm than the West. The notes here are meant only to tantalize you into visiting this amazing place. We should all aware of the facts that Hindu religion has many enemies. These enemies may try to discredit and malign Hinduism. In south Asia general population is ignorant, and engulfed in blind faith and traditions that are carried over for centuries. It is true that over millennia some people took advantage of this blind faith and traditions to satisfy there own hidden agenda and lust and did harm the local communities. But that is not the case here.
According to -Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya-’This world is full of all kinds of human beings. In a nutshell, they can be classified as – gentle, sad, upbeat and scoundrel. We need to treat them according to their type and not the same way. There is an aphorism in Yogadarshana which talks about friendship, compassion, gleefulness and neglect. It explains the need and utility of behavior tailored as per the individual. We should make friendship with gentlemen so that the impact of their virtues benefits us and also a timely good conduct can be expected from them. A feeling of compassion should prevail for the grieving and benighted ones and the efforts to make them overcome the crisis by helping and serving must be driven. At the minimum, sympathy can be shown to them with an endeavor of providing consultation to hold patience and guide them the way to get over the sufferings. We should be glad to see the successful and upbeat people. Progressives deserve at the minimum a gift of appreciation for their skills and dedication which will encourage them further. It inspires others to rise too.
It’s not possible to fight with evil and rogue forever. Avoid confrontation with everybody coming on the way as fighting with them in an effort to rectify and fix them is next to impossible. At least their misbehavior can be ignored so that the time which was to be used for taking revenge and degrading them can be utilized in creative tasks. Even with all this, at least one must make sure that culprits should be shown the fear of non-cooperation, resistance and conflict otherwise they take our ignorance as an opportunity to dare more. Ignorance should be limited to the extent that the wicked must not get encouraged further. To conduct as per the person’s level is the real workmanship which is called another form of Yoga by the God in the Geeta.
It can’t be implemented in the behavior literally. It will be very awkward if practiced exactly that way. If revered Gurus and evils/rogues are seated at the same level and worshiped or neglected-condemned the same way then it will look very strange and confusing. This will have bad aftermath effects. A buffalo (in a cart) needs a hit of stick to move whereas a horse starts running with a slight hint of the halter. This is because of the difference in their nature which justifies the riders’ behavior. It’s quite possible to play the tricks of negotiation, money, punishment, divide (Saam, Daam, Danda, Bhed) as per the need. Try the other (or more) tricks if one doesn’t work. The sole purpose is to reform. Hate the sin and not the sinner. This synergistic behavior for the benefit of others is similar to the callousness of a surgeon while operating for good and ethical.’
A country’s existence and prestige can gradually be eroded by finishing off its faith and belief tradition and culture and the creator of nation. Nepal was worthy to be bowed down by Hindus all over the world. This is the highest honor Nepal could receive from the international community. The conspiracy against oriental Baidik Hindu and Buddha’s culture was started almost 200 years ago from India by East India Company where Lord Macaulay was one of them who succeed to destroy oriental Hindu identities and culture.
Lumbinī- Nepal is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi district of Nepal, near the Indian border. It is the place where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautam, who as the Buddha founded the Buddhist tradition. Records made by the Chinese pilgrim Fa Xian were also used in the process of identifying this religiously acclaimed site. The holy site of Lumbini has ruins of ancient monasteries, a sacred Bodhi tree, an ancient bathing pond, the Ashoka pillar and the Mayadevi temple. The truth, however is that Buddha was born at Lumbini in present Rupandehi district of western Terai region in Nepal. A fact accepted by UNESCO while providing world heritage status to the place.

Buddhist-Hindu vicinities in Bangladesh set ablazed and vandalised in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.

Sunday, Sep 30th, 2012 | Cox’s Bazar :: Cox’s Bazaar, Sept 30 (bdnews24.com)—A mob torched and vandalised a village of Buddhists [These shrines are equally respected by the Hindus also - Ed. HE ] in Cox’s Bazaar’s Ramu Upazila early on Sunday in one of the worst religious attacks in Bangladesh apparently triggered by a Facebook posting allegedly defaming the Quran.

Eyewitnesses and police said the assailants set fire to at least six Buddhist temples and nearly 20 homes and looted and damaged more than a hundred others until 3am in the hate attack.

Cox’s Bazaar district’s Superintendent of Police Selim Mohammed Jahangir acknowledged the violence in the Buddhist-dominated locality. He said around 3am situation in the Ramu district headquarters was under control but in areas on the fringe, tension was palpable.

COX’S BAZAR, Bangladesh (AP) — Thousands of Bangladeshi Muslims angry over an alleged derogatory photo of the Islamic holy book Quran on Facebook set fires in at least 10 Buddhist temples and 40 homes near the southern border with Myanmar, authorities said Sunday.

Cox’s Bazar violence: 6 pagodas burnt down, 100 houses vandalised << Click here.

A mob comprises of around 25,000 people, angered by a photograph posted in Facebook, torched dozens of homes of the Buddhist community and vandalised six 100-year-old pagodas as a sectarian violence broke out at Merunloa village in Ramu upazila here Saturday night.

“Police patrols have been strengthened in the Buddhist-majority areas,” SP Jahangir added.

Paramilitary BGB personnel have been called out to restore order in the affected areas, Suresh Barua, teacher at a local school, said.

Several houses and Mithhachharhi Bonbihar, some five kilometres from Ramu Sadar Upazila, were set on fire around 3:30am, said General Secretary of Ramu Upazila Juba League Nitish Barua.

A 100-foot high under-construction Buddha sculpture was also ravaged in Bimukti Bidarshan Babna Centre in the locality, he added.

Gias Uddin Ziku, Office Secretary of Cox’s Bazaar district unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Chairman of Jhilangja Union, said he dispersed Jamaat-e-Islami activists who had gathered around localities of ethnic minorities. He also said he had informed the police of the incident.

Local people said followers of an Islamist party led by several leaders took out a procession around 10pm on Saturday alleging that a photo was uploaded on the Facebook to defame the holy book.

At a subsequent rally, they claimed a youth by the name of Uttam Barua had pasted the purportedly offensive photo in the social networking website and demanded his arrest.

Another militant procession was taken out that marched down towards the Barua Parha around 11:30pm and some youths from the procession set some homes of the Buddhists on fire.

From then on, 15 homes, three temples including ‘Saada Ching’ and ‘Laal Ching’ were burned to the ground, Dipak Barua, a local, said.

Police, local administration officials and public representatives were trying to quell the arson and destruction that continued at least until 1:30am.

A local journalist, who was hiding with family in the neighbourhood that came under attack, told bdnews24.com the Cheranghata Barakyang Temple close to his home was set alight. He said the flames died out around 2:45am.

Also, Ramu Maitree Bihar, Saada Chinglaal, Ramy Sina Bihar and Jadiparha Bouddha Bihar were torched, ransacked and looted.

At least 10 Buddhist villages were attacked and Purbo Merongloa locality that had around 20 houses was burned.

Chairman of Ramu Upazila Council Sohel Sarwar Kajal said efforts were on to quell the tension.

Several Facebook users, meanwhile, said Uttam Barua, the Ramu youth being accused of Quran defamation, did not post the photo deemed to be offensive to Islam. They said Uttam was tagged in the photo from a Facebook ID called ‘Insult Allah’ and so he was in no way responsible.

Recently, there was much hullabaloo was created after Rohingya Muslims tried to cross the border into Bangladesh fleeing the religious riot in Myanmar’s Buddhist-majority Rakhine state. A section of the civil society in Bangladesh reacted to the government refusing the refugees entry. The government believes communal forces were behind this incident.

[So. it is established that the anti Buddhist - anti Hindu Force in Bangladesh premeditatedly attacked the peace loving minorities in BD for an ethnic cleansing with the issues of Myanmar Muslim torture or desecration of Quran in very heinous Islamic attitude. Same time a portion of BD media and political part are shedding their tears for such an attack upon BD minorities for a habitual activities of majority Muslims there. All concerned in Bangladesh are supporting the total removal of BD Hindu-Buddhists-Christians-Other minorities from that Islamic land.  Then what is the remedial measures? 1. Protest vehemently to BD Govt. with strictures. 2. Direct intervention of Respected Dalai Lama in this matter. What he is doing right now in his fortified seat in  Dharmshala (India) with huge wealth and international fame?  3. Stop relations with Muslims treating them as the supporters of a most uncivilized and communal groups. 4. Attack Mosques and Muslim in Buddhist Countries, as a tremendous retaliation to sensitize the insane Islamic zealots as the last measure. At least Myanmar and Sri Lanka should start actions. Dalai Lama in His Exile at Dhramshala (McLeodganj) in India.

DHARAMSHALA | INDIA | TNN | Mar 29, 2012, 05.30AM IST:Arrival of Hu Jintao in Delhi on Wednesday triggered a series of activities inMcLeodganj, which is the nerve center for various Tibetan groups working across the globe and home to Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

Most of the Tibetan shops remained closed for the whole day and special prayers were organized in the main temple by various Tibetan groups, which later concluded with candle light vigils. Tibetan parliamentarians and other officials of the government-in-exile attended prayers in the late evening organized by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).

Meanwhile, the Tibetan who carried out self-immolation in Delhi a day earlier succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning, following which rallies were held in the town. Tibetans demanded that the dead body be cremated in McLeodganj. “We want that the body of the courageous Tibetan activist be cremated here with full respect as a martyr. He sacrificed his life for the Tibetan cause and we want that the Indian leaders and representatives of other countries should also raise the Tibetan cause at the BRIC summit,” said Dhoundhup Yeshi, a Tibetan activist.

Tibetans also condemned the arrest of protesters in Delhi by the police and demanded their immediate release.

Speaker of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile Penpa Tsering claimed that Hu Jinato was responsible for leaving minority nationalities in a mess and therefore it should be his responsibility to resolve the issue during the remaining period of his presidency. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said, “Taking opportunity of the visit of President Hu Jintao to India, Tibetan Parliament-in-exile wish to remind all BRICS members that the situation in Tibet continues to deteriorate and China continue to implement inhuman brutal methods to suppress peaceful Tibetans inside Tibet. We urge the BRICS leaders to raise the issue of Tibet with president Hu Jintao along with Syria and Iran,” he added.

Chinese President’s visit to Delhi provokes Tibetan protests

New Delhi | NDTV Correspondent, March 28, 2012 18:05 IST :  China’s president, Hu Jintao, has arrived in Delhi for the fourth BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit. Worried about protests, the police has been detaining Tibetan activists in the capital, provoking strong criticism.

Continuous Genocides of Hindu Tamils in a fatal Sinhala slaughter house in Sri Lanka.

Posted by hinduexistence on August 25, 2011

  • It is estimated that 2500 Hindu temples and 400 churches have been destroyed. The Sinhala forces do not permit the people to reconstruct these worship places and many are in a dilapidated state.
  • Military camps and Sinhala soldiers are a common sight in Tamil areas. Out of a total land mass of 65,619 sq km, the Tamils inhabited 18,880 sq km of land in the north and east, but after May 2009, the defence forces have occupied more than 7,000 sq km of Tamil land.
  • Tamils , Mostly Hindu Shaivaites underwent severe hardship and sufferings from year 1956, 1958, 1977,1983 GENOCIDE OF TAMILS, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2009 GENOCIDE OF TAMILS MORE THAN 200,000  Killed & Missing. A rich and erudite Tamil Hindu Culture and people are facing severe Ethnic Cleansing in Sri Lanka.
  • Hindus in this planet can’t keep mum for such a persecutions upon them in the KILLING FIELD IN SINHALA (Sri Lanka) even beside the questions over Tamil insurgency and LTTE etc. Human Rights are grossly violated in SL as per amnesty procedures.

Erasing the cultural leftover of Tamils to convert Sri Lanka into Sinhala country

By A Correspondent || The Weeken Leader || Colombo25 Aug 2011.

Travelling through the Tamil areas in North Sri Lanka, one is shocked to see the changing demography of the land. A land that was once inhabited by Tamils and a land that had a distinct flavor of Tamil culture and heritage is now in the grip of Sinhalese hegemony, seen in the form of Buddhist statues, viharas and stupas dotting the landscape that is also lined by broken Tamil homes and newly built shanties of Tamil refugees.

[PIC. A recently constructed Buddhist stupa at Kanagarayankulam.]

Sinhala and Sinhalisation are now the watch words in the predominantly Tamil areas of North Sri Lanka. Starting from Vavuniya, the change is perceptible as one enters the Tamil heartland.

All those entering into the north have to pass through Omanthai – which has been given a Sinhalese sounding name, ‘Omantha’ – check point on A9 national highway. At this place where more than 90 per cent of the travelers are Tamil speakers, one needs to go with a person knowing Sinhala to answer the queries from the Sinhalese soldiers.

Throughout our travel into the Tamil hinterland, we could sense an air of Sinhalese triumphalism.

Military camps and Sinhala soldiers are a common sight in Tamil areas. Out of a total land mass of 65,619 sq km, the Tamils inhabited 18,880 sq km of land in the north and east, but after May 2009, the defence forces have occupied more than 7,000 sq km of Tamil land.

It is estimated that 2500 temples and 400 churches have been destroyed. The Sinhala forces do not permit the people to reconstruct these worship places and many are in a dilapidated state.

On the other hand, even though the only Buddhists who are to be found here are the Sinhalese soldiers, nearly 2500 Buddhist stupas and statues have come up in Tamil areas in the last couple of years, according to the locals.

[PIC. A huge Buddha statue at Kilinochchi, the erstwhile capital of Tamil rebels.]

A Buddhist Vihara named Mahatota Raja Maha Vihara has come up within 50 meters of the famous Thirukethiswaram temple in Mannar district. The ancient name for Thirukethiswaram area was Mahathottam.

The government has been making a big hype about a so-called development programme in Tamil areas called Vadakin Vasantham (Uthuru Wasanthaya or Northern Springs).

Infrastructure development, electricity, water supply and sanitation, agriculture, irrigation, livestock development, inland fisheries, health, solid waste disposal, education, sports, cultural affairs and transportation are some of the areas that they claim will be covered under this program.

However, the real beneficiaries of this scheme are not going to be Tamils but Sinhala jobless youth, who would be employed in the projects that have been handed to Sinhala contractors.

The defence forces will be the ones who will be utilizing the newly developed infrastructure as a major chunk of the funds will be allocated towards road development to facilitate easy troop movement.

[PIC. A Sinhala-only signboard at an important junction in Puthukudyiruppu.]

In Cheddikulam a housing scheme for Sinhala returnees is underway. One would have welcomed it if it was the same 13 displaced families that were to return. Instead, some 75 new Sinhala families are being relocated in the area.

Already 165 Sinhala families have been resettled in Kokkachchaankulam, which is to be renamed Kalabowasewa.

A grand new Sinhala medium school for new returnees has come up on Madhu road, whereas hundreds of schools for Tamil kids in the vicinity are in a state of disarray.

According to locals, forest wealth in the Tamil areas is looted by the Sinhalese from the south who enter the forest with permission of the armed forces for timber logging.

People also complain that Sinhala Buddhist archaeologists are engaged in nefarious activities of Sinhalization. They are said to be visiting Tamil areas and ‘excavating’ Buddha statues that they themselves plant earlier. The purpose of this exercise is allegedly to claim that the territory in question had been a Sinhala Buddhist area.

Where there were only a few old Sinhala sign boards pointing directions and mentioning names of places, today one is dumbstruck at the sheer number of new Sinhala name/direction boards in the Tamil areas.

[PIC. A Sri Lankan defence outpost in Puthukudyiruppu  with name board in Sinhalese and English.]

In Mullaithivu and many other places in the north, Tamils are not allowed to enter the sea, while their Sinhala counterparts from the south are allowed to fish in their areas.

Locals say that all petitions to government services and establishments have to be given in Sinhala only since 2009.

In the heart of Kilinochchi town, the erstwhile administrative capital of Tamil rebels, streets sport Sinhalese names such as Mahinda Rajapaksa Mawatha, and Aluth mawatte (The new road).

Three roads close to the A9 highway in Kanakarayankulam have been given Sinhala names – Kosala Perera road, Anura Perera road, and Rev Yatiravana Vimala Thero Street. The first two names are those of soldiers who took part in the war and the last one is the name of a Buddhist monk.

Where will this all lead to? Only time will tell. ???

Bangladeshi Hindus and other minorities denounced the Islamic Constitution.

Posted by hinduexistence on July 1, 2011

Big protest in Bangladesh against Islamic Constitution

Sambuddha Gupta | Dhaka | June 30, 2011.

Dhaka stirs with Big Protests. Thousands of protesters marched in capital Dhaka on Thursday against Bangladesh parliament adopted an Islamic constitution, steering away from a secular political culture, which was enshrined in 1972 constitution.

A half a mile long rally organized by a conglomerate of Hindu and other ethnic groups, left parties and pro-secular groups, chanting anti-government slogans and waving red flags marched towards the parliament, where the ruling party and her alliance lawmakers hastily adopted several amendments to the constitution on Thursday noon.

……………………………
Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh clearly slammed the approval of the 15th constitutional amendment bill to retain Islam as the state religion as it was against the secular character of the constitution granted and accepted by the new born Bangladesh Republic in 1972. Quashing that National spirit of equality and secularism, Bangladesh’s Parliament approved the 15th Amendment Bill 2011 recently that scraps the controversial nonpartisan caretaker system to conduct general elections and also retains Islam as the state religion. The free thinkers society and a small section in Muslim Community consiting eminent scholars, writers, human rightists also raised their humble voice in the cause of retention of the Secular Constitution of Bangladesh as it was adopted in 1972.
………..
Rana Dasgupta, General Secretary of Hindu Boudhha Christian Oikya Parishad (HBCOP), a key organisation of religious minorities in Bangladesh, said the entire nation wanted the restoration of the spirit of secularism.”We are deeply disappointed…this has violated our fundamental rights and that is why we are rejecting the amendment,” Dasgupta told the news agency PTI. The HBCOP claimed that it deprived the country’s nearly 2.5 crore religious and ethnic minorities from their rights of Hinduism and other religious beliefs. Amongst them, Hindus are the second largest religious affiliation in Bangladesh. There are over 150 million Hindus in the country, according to the 2001 census. Dasgupta said that the HBCOP, headed by former army general CR Datta (Veer Uttam), has called a nationwide day-long hunger strike on Friday on 1st July.
………………..
The organisation would also stage a black flag protest in front of the National Press Club in the heart of the capital tomorrow. Dasgupta said.”We fear that the development has pushed us to a situation where the followers of different religious faiths will abstain from casting their votes in next elections or wage a campaign demanding separate election in reserve seats..”  He said. “Bangladesh’s 1972 constitution contained four state principles, including secularism that was scrapped under the government of military ruler Ziaur Rahman. Former military ruler Hussain Muhammad Ershad declared Islam the state religion in 1988 by amending the constitution. Currently HM Ershad the chief of Jatiya Party which is aligned with the Awami League-led ruling coalition Government in Bangladesh, is again playing his vital role to retain his Islamic amendments in the present 15th amendment in constitution to abolish the basic principles of original constitution”.

The irritations and the agitations in BD minority groups has no impact perhaps in theCultural Citadel of Asia at Kolkata due to an inertia of Bengal Intellects absorbed with pity secularism equates there not to speak anything about Islamic nuisance and a great PM of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hassina. However, Basudev Dhar, Dhaka correspondent of Dainik Statesman, a flourishing Bengali Daily published from Kolkata regularly reports the persecutions upon the BD minorities and Hindus by the majority Muslims as a most regular feature there.
……………….
The onslaught upon the BD Hindus and other minorities are so reckoning, this may be presented in a form of social appeal and deputation to the all Indian High Commissionand embassies including the United Nation forums, so the rights of minorities in Bangladesh cannot be tampered any more. The status of BD minorities are now clearly in  a level of existential threat facing a process of ethnic cleansing now so promoted  through the softness of constitution amendments with a ensuing hard dome of complete Talibalization of Bangladesh.
…………………..
And there is a very little difference between Ziaur Rahman, Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hassina in the question to accept Islam as a State religion of Bangladesh. They are all pro Islamic and the majority of Muslim people can never be a liberal society to accept the practices of others in open mind in its habit, homes and state politics. Bangladesh is telling this truth once again.

BANGLADESH HINDUS AND OTHER ETHNIC COMMUNITIES PROTEST OVER FRESH ISLAMIZATION OF BD CONSTITUTION.

Posted by hinduexistence on June 25, 2011

Protest of Bangladesh Hindu Mohajote on 24th June 2011 at Dacca to discard the Fresh Islamization of Constitution by Hassina Government.

Assertion of Islam in Bangladesh Constitution will encourage the Islamist for a complete ethnic cleansing in BD.

Upananda Brahmachari | New Delhi.

Let us join hands to crush a tyrannic hand.....

At last the Bangladesh Central Cabinet passed the 51 (fity one) points recommendations for the Bangladesh Constitutional Amendments keeping intact the “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim” and “Islam as the State Religion of the Republic of Bangladesh”. Now the face of a Sheikh Hassina Wazed is very clear as an ultimate Islamist rather than a Prime Minister of 10 crore (100 million) Hindu, Buddhist, Chakma, Christian Bangladesh minority citizens also or a secular descendant of father of Bangladesh Nation Bangabandhu Shiek Mujibur Rahman. One may now turn the pages of History where it is said Mujibur Rahman was also an Islamists in his early days and helped Shaheed Suhrawardy  to make a success of ‘Great Calcutta Killing of Hindus’ in 1946. May be, Hassina got any personal interest from her father Mujibur to be a virtual Muslim to uphold Islam above the State and to retain a camouflaging secular identity in general alike her father.  Pro active Sheikh Hassina’s recommendations for the assertion of Islam in Bangladesh Constitution will surely encourage the Islamist for a complete ethnic cleansing of  BD Hindus and other minorities in coming five years.

This dramatic turnaround of the Bangladesh Government from secularism to Islamism has enraged the indigenous population, who are demanding to be recognized in a proposed re- draft of the country’s constitution. The nation is poised to amend the constitution, which is likely to be tabled in the parliament on Thursday. The move has been vehemently protested by The Bangladesh government’s dramatic turnaround from secularism to Islamism has enraged the indigenous population, who are demanding to be recognized in a proposed re-draft of the country’s constitution. The nation is poised to amend the constitution, which is likely to be tabled in the parliament on Thursday. The move has been vehemently protested by independence war veterans, the pro-secularist lobby and social justice activists. Dissent is also being heard from within the ruling party and its pro-left alliance partners. The superior court, in a landmark judgment last July, asked the government to restore secularism in the spirit of the bloody war of independence of 1971.

Rightly the secular activists charge the government has deliberately adopted dilly-dally tactics while the charter changes are considered. Former guerrilla leader Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma a. k.a. Shantu Larma, chairman of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council, on Thursday rejected the proposed Islamization of the constitution and demanded constitutional recognition of the indigenous or Adivasi community, who have resided in the country for centuries. The guerrilla leader, who fought a bush war for two decades, demanded the government drop a proposal to keep a Koranic verse in the preamble of the constitution — “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim (in the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful)” and Islam as the state religion. “A state can’t have a religion,” said Larma, who signed the historic peace accord between guerillas and the government 13 years ago. The treaty recognizes the inhabitants of hill forest as indigenous communities, acknowledges its traditional governance system and established regional autonomy. However, the constitution does not acknowledge them as Adivasis. The matter of recognition of the indigenous people came to the fore recently following denial by a Bangladesh diplomat in the United Nations that there were no indigenous people in the country. The statement has been construed as another step by the government to further erode the already limited rights of indigenous people. Since Bangladesh gained independence four decades ago, the 35 ethnic groups that represent nearly 2 percent of the total 158 million majoritarian Sunni Muslims have demanded to be recognized as indigenous communities.

An angry Hassina went against the demands of Hindus and other minorities including Buddhists, Chakmas, Christians, aborigines and indigenous people, while two dignified members of her ministry, Mr. A.K. Khandakar, Minister of Planning and Mr. Abul Mal Abdul Muhitak, Minister of Finance vehemently opposed this detrimental move of the Govt. for tarnishing the real perspective of the Constitution so far adopted out of the sensation of the War of Freedom in 1971, i.e. “Ekattorer Muktijuddha”. An outburst Hassina told that “she had done all these to keep the sentiment of the people”. Again it is proved that a Muslim majority country is compelled only to uphold the sentiment of the Majority Muslim people and to the minority as animals to justify a Quran or the Islamic Shariat Law.

As a protest the Bangladesh Hindu Buddha Christian Oikya Parisad (BHBCOP) and The Bangladesh Adivasi Forum (BAF) came to streets to convey the sentiments of the Bangladesh minorities for a strong favour for secularism in Bangladesh, not the Islamic rule to be enforced upon everybody. Many protest corners along with a big rally in Dacca on 24th June 2011 surfaced the agony of the BD minorities and BHBCOP and BAF declared further agitation against the anti minority steps be the present Govt. in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Hindu Mohajote (BDM) also organised  a protest rally on 24th June 2011 at Dacca streets to discard the Fresh Islamization of Constitution by Hassina Government. These forums also sought help and support of the intelligentsia of India and West Bengal, who generally tell for Secularism but keep mum for the destruction of secularism by the Muslims in front of their wide open eyes.

It is at least a good news for the ‘pro minority rights’ people in BD that some eminent educationists, columnists, rights activists, cultural personalities like Shariar Kabir (Ekattarer Ghatak Dalal Nirmool Committee), Mohammad Hamid, Kamal Lohani, Nasiruddin Yushuf (Sammlita Sanaskriti Jote) and others formed a “Bahattarer Sangbidhan Punaprotistha Jatiyo Committee” ( National Committee for Revival of 1972 constitution), through a very rapid convening a meeting at Mukti Yuddha Jadughar Milayotan (Museum of Freedom War Meeting Hall) on 21st June 2011. These non biased intellectuals are obviously protesting against the impacting Claws and Jaws of Islam to ensure an Ethnic cleansing of Bangladesh minorities very shockingly rather brutally.

Now Bangladesh Govt. is also trying to put a strong code upon the Hindu Marriage procedures to restrict their liberties so far enjoyed by the Hindu minorities in BD. The Hindu groups are also retaliating  with a strong agitation against the Pro Islamic activism and Hindu-Minority harassing mentality by the present Awami League Govt. in BD headed by Sheikh Hassina.

Patna is to plant Maha Bodhi sapling in India

Colombo, Apr 27 (Hindu Existence News Bureau) :  This year Holy Buddha (Purnima) Jayanthi falls on 27th May, Thursday. To commemorate 2,600 years of Buddha Jayanti, Sri Lanka will present India a sapling of the Maha Bodhi tree under which Gautama Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment.

The tree will be planted in the new Buddha Udyanaya being created in Patna to commemorate 2,600 years of Sambuddha Jayanti. An Indian government backed 10-member delegation has arrived in the Buddhist city of Anuradhapura in north central

Sri Lanka in connection with Sambuddha Jayanti. The delegation is expected to brief the Sri Lankan government about Sambuddha Jayanti celebrations to be held in India for a whole year, the state run Daily News reported on Tuesday.

Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred fig tree in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, which is said to trace its roots to the historical Bodhi tree. Planted in 249 BC, it is reportedly the oldest living human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date.

The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred fig tree at Anuradhapura town and is said to be a sapling of the historical Bodhi tree. It is the oldest recorded tree in the world.

According to a statement by the government, a 10-member Indian delegation is currently at Anuradhapura to receive the sapling. It will be planted in the new Buddha Udyana being created in Patna to commemorate 2,600 years of the Sambuddha Jayanthi.

The delegation is expected to brief the Sri Lankan government on the Sambuddha Jayanthi celebrations to be held there for a whole year.

Meanwhile, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Ashok K. Kantha paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Prime Minister, D.M. Jayaratne.

“The High Commissioner noted the close and friendly relations between India and Sri Lanka,” the Indian mission said in a statement.

The Bodhi tree at the Mahabodhi Temple is called the Sri Maha Bodhi. According to Buddhist texts the Buddha, after his Enlightenment, spent a whole week in front of the tree, standing with unblinking eyes, gazing at it with gratitude. A shrine was later erected on the spot where he stood, and was called the Animisalocana cetiya. The Sri Maha Bodhi in Sri Lanka was planted in 249 BC, making it the oldest verified specimen of any angiosperm. In this year (the twelfth year of King Asoka‘s reign) the right branch of the Bodhi tree was brought by Sanghamittā to Anurādhapura and placed by Devānāmpiyatissa in the Mahāmeghavana. The Buddha, on his death bed, had resolved five things, one being that the branch which should be taken to Ceylon should detach itself. From Gayā, the branch was taken to Pātaliputta, thence to Tāmalittī, where it was placed in a ship and taken to Jambukola, across the sea; finally it arrived at Anuradhapura, staying on the way at Tivakka. Those who assisted the king at the ceremony of the planting of the Tree were the nobles of Kājaragāma and of Candanagāma and of Tivakka. The page on Ashoka says his reign was from 273 BC-232 BC.

The Sacred Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura is reckoned as the oldest surviving historical tree in the world. It was brought to Sri Lanka by the Theri Sangamitta, daughter of Emperor Asoka and was planted in the Mahameghavana Park in Anuradhapura in 249 BC by King Devanampiyatissa. It is said to be the southern branch of the Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi at Buddha Gaya in India under which Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment.

The Mahavamsa or the Great Chronicle of the Sinhalese provides an elaborate account of the establishment of the Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi in the island. Bodhi means wisdom that understands the four Noble Truths. Thus the tree which assisted Lord Buddha to achieve wisdom or enlightenment is called Bodhi.

As per Jaydeva Dasavatar Sthoratham Lord Buddha is the 9th incarnation of Lord Vishnu according to Hindu Mythology.
