Dheeraj Chandrasekhar | ABP News | New Delhi 29 Dec 2014:: Controversies revolving ‘PK’ do not seem to end with BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday alleging that the film has been funded from the underworld in Dubai & by Pakistani Intelligence Agency ISI.
The accusation comes at a time when protests are being held every day denouncing the movie which is supposedly a satirical take on godmen and superstitions.
Swamy in his tweet has demanded an investigation by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence into the source of funding in the Rajkumar Hirani directed flick.

BJP veteran leader LK Advani recently watched the film and came out praising it as a wonderful and courageous film. He suggested everybody to watch it.
“Hearty greetings to Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for a wonderful and courageous film that they have produced in the shape of PK,” Advani said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Bajrang Dal today took to the streets and vandalised theatres in Ahmedabad. Protests were also held in Bhopal.
Right-wing groups have alleged that Aamir Khan had “hurt the religious sentiments” of Hindus by mocking Hindu gods and devotees in the film.

Protests over PK grow in BJP-ruled states
ABP News Bureau | New Delhi 29 December 2014:: The protest against Aamir Khan-starrer PK continues to gather steam in BJP-ruled states.
The controversial movie has taken a swipe at organised religion and self-styled godmen, with some Sangh Parivar outfits in Ahmedabad on Monday demanding a ban on the ground that it hurts religious sentiments.
They also attacked & vandalised cinema halls showcasing the movie which has been doing well at the Box Office. Also, Bajrang Dal workers protested in Bhopal holding weapons in their hands.
The protests by the VHP, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and the All India Hindu Mahasabha have been coinciding with police complaints alleging the movie mocked deities and that its contents were “highly provocative”.
Yoga practitioner Ramdev called for a boycott of the Rajkumar Hirani film, claiming it had taken liberties with Hinduism.
Others claimed Aamir had “insulted” Hinduism but he denied the allegations.
“We respect all religions. All my Hindu friends have seen the film and they have not felt the same. In fact, 99 per cent of the crew was Hindu,” the actor said.

Swami Chakrapani of the Hindu Mahasabha alleged the film’s depiction of deities was “insulting”. “They have deliberately given such comments so their film is a hit and they earn more money.”
The censor board drew fire but its chief Leela Samson said no scenes would be removed. “Every film may hurt the religious sentiments of someone or the other. We can’t remove scenes unnecessarily as there is something called creative endeavour.”
Some Muslim religious leaders backed demands for deletion of the alleged “objectionable” scenes. “Freedom of expression does not mean hurting someone’s sentiments,” said the All India Muslim Personal Law Board member, Khalid Rashid Mahali.
However, Maqsood Qasmi of the Imam Council questioned the protests . “They should protest outside the house of L.K. Advani,” he said, alluding to the BJP veteran leader’s praise of PK as “wonderful and courageous”.
Some others decried the protests. “Films are a mirror of the society and Aamir’s movie is reflecting the ills,” said spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnan.
PK had earlier sparked a row with its poster featuring a semi-nude Aamir. But the Supreme Court had in August spiked a PIL on this ground. It had told the petitioner “if you don’t like, then don’t watch… but don’t bring religious facets in it.”
