Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | July 30, 2019:: The majority of Indians including a large section of Muslim women Tuesday lauded the passage of the triple talaq bill in Parliament, saying that it is a great day for Indian democracy and the upcoming law will free Muslim women from the “curse” of this “regressive practice.” Parliament on Tuesday approved the bill that makes instant triple talaq a criminal offence, after the contentious legislation was passed by the Rajya Sabha (Upper house of parliament) following non-aligned BJD extending support to the ruling NDA.

“Today is a great day for India’s democracy. I congratulate PM @narendramodi ji for fulfilling his commitment and ensuring a law to ban triple talaq, which will free Muslim women from the curse of this regressive practice. I thank all parties who supported this historic bill,” Amit Shah, the Indian Home Minister and BJP President tweeted.

Indian Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who piloted the bill, said it was a “historic day when the Rajya Sabha passed the triple talaq bill that was passed by Lok Sabha earlier”.

“Government of PM @narendramodi has fulfilled its commitment by giving justice to Muslim women…No more Talaq-Talaq-Talaq.” Prasad tweeted.

Terming it an end to the suffering of Muslim women, women and child development minister Smriti Irani said was only Prime Minister Narendra Modi understood the pain of Muslim women and fulfilled his commitment for ensuring gender justice.

Slamming the Congress for opposing the bill, minority affairs minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the Congress has again repeated a mistake made by it earlier. “The people will punish the Congress in the time to come,” he said.

The Upper House passed the bill by 99 votes in favour and 84 against it.

The Lok Sabha had passed the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill last week. Under it divorcing through instant triple talaq will be illegal, void and would attract a jail term of three years for the husband.

Hailing the passage of the triple talaq bill by Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a historic wrong done to Muslim women has been corrected and an “archaic and medieval practice” confined to the dustbin of history.

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill will now go to President Ram Nath Kovind. for his assent. Once the triple talaq bill gets assent of the President and notified by government, it will replace the triple talaq ordinance of promulgated last in February to enact a law with a provision of punishment against the practice of triple talaq.

Though, Congress, TMC, Communists, AIMIM, Muslim Personal Law Board,  and some other parties put a hurdle to pass the law against Triple Talaq for their Muslim Vote Bank Policies; various Muslim Women Organisations struggled much to establish their rights against Triple Talaq.

The majority Hindu society of India wholeheartedly supported and energized the struggle of Muslim women for their fight against Triple Talaq.

Eminent interlocutor and Hindu Existence Web Editor, Upananda Brahmachari welcomed the victory of Triple Talaq Move in Indian Parliament.  “The end of Triple Talaq and Polygamy in Islam will surely strengthen the peace and prosperity of Indian Muslim women folk in their journey to mingle into the mainstream of Hindu society.” as  Brahmachari told HENB.

   A good start of this Government, but not enough. In Bharat two
   religion must be banned; namely the desert Allah and the Vatican/
   Anglican cruel barbaric religion. Why? Because of their cruelties.
   In India the way they have killed Shambu Maharaj son of Shiva Ji Maharaj and many Maharani’s who took Jauhar, because their honor was
   at stake and many similar killings. Also the way they have killed
   Banda Singh and his children and of Sikh Gurus. Both religions have
   tried to destroy the Hindu civilization. They failed. Outside India the
   treatment of the Yazidi’s ladies who were burned alive and more.
   The brutality of the Vatican/Anglican church as barbaric invaders and
   the attempt in destroying the heritage of Bharat. Outside India, the
   Vatican had strangled the Inca King to death, after he was trapped
   and had provided them huge quantity of gold and was converted to
   Christianity. This cowardice can’t be forgotten. If this Government don’t
   ban these two religion, Hindus will do it. This is a message of
   Sri Hanuman Seva Sena.

   Indian Parliament has passed the Bill to end the very discriminated traditions among the Muslim ladies. It is historically, it is very praiseworthy achievement for all Muslim ladies in all over the world. The reality was that a Muslim man can divorce his wife by oral announcements; the wife has no right to divorce at all. When a Muslim husband has pronounced divorce three times on his wife, she then may not lawfully remarry her husband until she has married another man, properly consummated the marriage and has been divorced by her new husband. When a Muslim husband has pronounced divorce three times on his wife, she then may not lawfully remarry her husband until she has married another man, properly consummated the marriage and has been divorced by her new husband. Islam teaches that a wife is subject to punishment by her husband; beating a wife or abstaining from sexual relations with her is legally allowed under Islamic Sharia.
   The situation is worse for Muslim woman in the world as compared to others. Muslim women have been suffering since their births. So, We the Nepalese people thanks Modi Govt.’No more Talaq- Talaq- Talaq is cancelled that the bill passed by the Indian parliament which t is very appreciated good news. BJP has done best for the greatness of human rights.
