Many senior saints and monks of various Dashnami tradition and eminent dignitaries and political leaders were present in the function.

This is the second time when the 3 days Kumbh Mahasnan and Mela will be held from Feb 12 to Feb 14, 2023 as the first Tribeni Kumbha was held last year after 703 years as the traditional Kumbh at Tribeni was stopped under the attacks of the Islamic invaders and rulers at that time in Bengal.

The Tribeni Kumbha Porichalana Samiti took the charge to restore and regenerate the tradition of Kumbha in Bengal for the revival of Sanatan Hindu tradition and culture in Bengal with the help of present generation and its stake holders from every section of social, political and economic sphere without any discrimination.

The holy flag hoisting and sacred Bhoomi Pujan rally started from the ‘Houng Kring Ashram’ and reached the Mela ground where revered saints and monks performed the bhoomipujan and flag hoisting through chanting of Ved Mantras where Banshberia Municipality Chairman Aditya Neogy and other dignitaries were also present. The Yajna (fire sacrifice) was also performed in order to seek the divine blessings for the success of the upcoming Tribeni Kumbha. The hoisted saffron flag will fly in the sky until the Kumbha is colesed on Feb 14th.

The saints, monks and dignitaries were welcomed by Sadhan Mukherjee, Dinabandu Gharai and Samir Guha Roy on behalf of Tribeni Kumbha Porichalana Samiti (TKPS).

Over 5 lakhs pilgrims are expected to attend this year Tribeni Kumbha as told by TKPS to HENB.
