Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kathmandu | 19 January 2015:: Tension gripped New Baneshwor on Sunday after riot police clashed with leaders and cadres of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal after they allegedly tried to enter the prohibited zone in front of the Constituent Assembly building today.

Hundreds of demonstrators led by RPN-Nepal had rallied to New Baneshwor from Babar Mahal to gherao the CA building demanding restoration of Hindu State in Nepal and promulgation of the constitution on the stipulated deadline of January 22, 2015.

Police had used ‘moderate’ force to disperse demonstrators chanting pro-Hindu slogans and holding placards and banners as they tried to advance to the prohibited zone.

District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has declared the areas from the western gate of the CA building up to New Baneshwar Chowk a prohibited area for mass assembly, rally and demonstration in view of the fact that it is a sensitive area in terms of security.

Around a dozen demonstrators received minor to moderate injury when police baton-charged them. Following the clash, they had staged a sit-in on the road for an hour and turned it into a mass meeting. Addressing the meeting, RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa warned that his party would capture the Constituent Assembly if the major political forces failed to deliver the constitution on January 22. “We will also organise nationwide protests and mass assemblies the day after January 22 in case the major parties fail to promulgate the constitution. We will not stop, we will break the police cordon and enter the CA building by that time,” he said.

RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa accused ‘the so-call democratic parties’ of betraying the people in the name of the constitution. “The parties have tried to sow the seeds of religious conflict through secularism and ethnic provinces,” he alleged.

Police have stepped up security in the capital with major focus on the CA building and other vital installations to prevent any untoward incident in the run-up to the January 22 deadline for the constitution.

RPP-N, the fourth largest party in the constituent assembly, wants Nepal to become a Hindu state under the new constitution.

Alternatively it wants a referendum to be held on the 2008 decision to abolish a 240-year-old monarchy and usher in a secular republic.

Deputy superintendent of police, Posh Raj Pokharel, said protesters tried to enter a restricted area near the assembly.

“We cannot allow them into the restricted area,” Pokharel told to the press when questioning him about the situation.

Hindu Rashtra Dharma Maha Sammelam in Chitwan on 16-01-2015. A Grand Success. Public is favouring Hindu Rashtra in Nepal. But who are the foreign prompted culprits to dismantle it?

Nepal’s last king Gyanendra Shah stepped down in June 2008 when parliament voted to abolish the monarchy, after Maoist rebels ended their insurgency and joined politics.

An estimated 16,000 people died in the “people’s war” fought by the Maoists against the state before the rebels signed a peace deal, paving the way for constituent assembly polls two years later.

Since then the Himalayan nation has endured prolonged political limbo, with leaders failing to agree on the charter.

Pressure has been building before Thursday’s deadline to publish the document, with various groups holding protests and staging strikes.

During last three months Nepal has seen unprecedented Hindu revival for the demand of Hindu Rashtra through hundreds of various demonstrations, agitations, rallies, campaigns, religious programmes etc. in its length and breadth. Millions of Hindu people of Nepal participated in these pro Hindu Rashtra programmes. While two major political parties viz. Nepali Congress and RPP-N are advocating for Hindu State in Nepal, some other forums are demanding Hindu State with the restoration of Hindu Kingdom in Nepal as earlier. Majority people in Nepal are expecting Hindu State in Nepal as Hindu Republic with giving a special status  to the Throne of Shah dynasty of Nepal along with the maintenance of the Constitution as existed in 1990 AD (i.e. 2047 BS).

Many of Hindu saints and  leaders from neighbouring India has visited Nepal during this time for promoting the ongoing Hindu Rashtra movements in Nepal for a Hindu state there to reclaim it at once as the only Hindu State for over 1 billion Hindu people in this globe.

As per latest report, serial consensus is building up in major political parties  for a Hindu State in Nepal and restoration of Constitution of  1990 AD (2047 BS). Mainly, Maoists are opposing the Hindu State in Nepal.

Meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) of Nepal put off for 5 pm today has not begun yet as top leaders of major political parties are engaged in inter-party talks to resolve crisis.

Top leaders of four major forces – Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) – are holding a meeting in presence of CA Chair Subas Chandra Nembang to forge consensus in disputed issues of the constitution.

Lawmakers representing various parties have gathered at the CA meeting hall, New Baneshwor, waiting for the meeting to commence.

Nepal may be declared as a Hindu State again in next 72 hours.

    Respected all!
In the context of Nepal, in 22th Jan. Congress, UML, Maoist can’t format the constitution from Constituent Assembly (CA).The Maoists want to Christianize Nepal by the support of CIA and EU and the Madhesi want to break Nepal in the name of ethnic-based federalism. So, to give the solution in Nepal, China and India there must be 1990 constitution which was made by Congress, UML. Maoist-sector including the, King. I have requested to all party also to implement the 1990 (2047 BS) constitution. 1990 constitution can balance the constitutional monarchy, Hindu Kingdom, parliamentary democracy with coordination. So, it is requested to all to implement the 1990 constitution, the CA never format the any constitution. So, it is not good to exercisise in futility where 1990 constitution is sufficient to move the nation.
    Thank you
