Suresh Gaikwad | HENB | Mumbai | June 29, 2016:: In its website pro Hindu organistion, Sanantan Sanstha has released a press note on June 27th as “RSS and BJP should clarify their official stand on ‘Pressure grown on government to ban Sanstha’ news” with the following notes.
“The 26th June, 2016 edition of the English daily DNA carried a news report under the title ‘Pressure grown on government to ban Sanstha’. The report cited a highly placed source within the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), according to which, the Sangh is pressurising the Maharashtra State government to ban the Sanatan Sanstha. Till date, news reports were being floated citing ‘sources from CBI’, but this is the first time that a pro-Hindu organisation like the RSS has been dragged into the issue. This news report is sending out erroneous signals that a ‘larger pro-Hindu organisation is trying to smother a smaller pro-Hindu organisation’, into the society. So it is necessary that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh clarifies its official stand regarding the various accusations levelled against Sanatan Sanstha. The Hindu society deserves to be enlightened about this. Also, forces trying to build a chasm between pro-Hindu organisations should be stopped. Hence, Sanatan Sanstha has placed a demand before the RSS and the BJP government that they should clarify their stand regarding the matter.”
Such a matter of dispute must draw a confusions among different Hindu organistaion, working for an ultimate goal of making a Hindu Rashtra in India.
The concerned DNA News Paper report is also produced here:
Shailendra Paranjpe | DNA | Mumbai | June 25, 2016:: With the RSS looking to do away with Sanatan Sanstha, the state government has been asked to start the process of banning the outfit by giving solid reasons for the same, and that is the reason why the state government has agreed to hand over the case of Comrade Govind Pansare’s murder to the CBI.
Despite the fact that the Bombay High Court has not agreed to the Pansare case being handed over to the CBI and has asked the Maharashtra Police to continue the investigations, the state government is already preparing to take steps towards banning the Sanstha. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had given his consent for handing over the Pansare murder case to the CBI since if there is any involvement of Sanatan Sanstha members in the rationalist’s killing, it would be embarrassing for the government for obvious reasons.
Sources within the RSS told dna that soon after the name of Veerendra Tawde came to the fore in connection with the Dabholkar murder case, the RSS insisted that the state government ban the Sanstha. The state had its own compulsions and could not act in haste before Tawde’s name came to the fore. But after the CBI proceeded with its investigations into the Dabholkar murder case, it is now easier for the state government to point towards the premier investigating agency while imposing a ban on Sanatan Sanstha, and that is also the reason the chief minister gave his consent for handing over the Pansare murder case, too, to the CBI.
According to BJP and RSS insiders, both the Dabholkar and Pansare murder cases would have a bearing during the upcoming local body elections and the option of banning Sanatan Sanstha is being looked at from a political perspective. The proposal is being weighed by the state government and there is growing pressure from the Sangh Pariwar, for its own reasons, to ban the outfit. Highly-placed sources told dna that it is likely that the operations of Sanatan Sanstha would be disbanded phase-wise and the state government banning the organisation could be the first step towards the same.
