‘Anti Hindu’ WB CM Mamata says no Durga idol immersion after 6 pm on Dashami till Oct 1 due to Muharram processions.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Kolkata | Aug 23, 2017:: The Ugly Communal Face of Mamata Banerjee surfaced once again. For blatant Muslim appeasement, WB CM  Mamata Banerjee nulls Durga Puja Immersion on Muharram day in Bengal this years also. She did this anti-Hindu activity in the last year for her loving Muslim community, but never she is courageous enough to halt Muharram for Durga Puja immersion when the two festivals fall in one day!

After issuing an order against the immersion of Durga idols on Dashami+, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee clarified on Wednesday night that except a 24-hour period, immersions can take place. “This year Durga Puja and Muharram fall on same day. Except 24 hour period on Muharram day, immersions can take place on October 2, 3 and 4”.

Earlier in the day, the WB CM issued an order against immersion of Durga idol on Dashmi, during the procession of Muharram. “No idol immersion after 6 pm on Dashami (Sept 30) till October 1 due to Muharram processions, immersion will resume from October 2,” Banerjee had said in an official statement.

Muharram will be observed this year on October 1. The Chief Minister said that immersion can take place on October 2,3 and 4. Banerjee’s directive may upset the Hindu outfit, though she had issued a similar order last year. The 2016 order was, however, stayed by the Kolkata High Court.

The BJP, meanwhile, has said that it will approach the court against the chief minister’s order.

Sharodiya Durga Puja, the biggest festival in Bengal is regulated by the Bengali almanacs viz Vishuddha Sidhanta and Driksiddha. According to 1424 (Bengali year) Nirghanta (Schedule) the Vijaya Dashmi Visarjan time is specified in the night of 30th Sept from 11-20 pm and extended upto next morning of 1st Oct, 5 am. Hence, Mamata Banerjee’s political hooliganism upon Hindus through a restriction of Visarjan (idol immersion) on 30th Sept beyond 6 pm is nothing but her obnoxious tie up with the Jihadis in Bengal to violate Bengali Hindu’s religious rights.

Bangiyo Paurohitya O Sadachar Sabha, Bangiyo Purohit Parishad members and many Monks and Brahmacharis of Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha personally expressed their strong resentment over the issue when HENB contacted them.
