Kerala Shiv Sena says suicide squads ready for ‘supreme sacrifice’ for Sabarimala.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Thiruvananthapuram | 0ct 15, 2018:: The founder of AntarRashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) and the former VHP icon, Dr Pravin Togadia, said on Sunday that his organisation would conduct a ‘two nights and a day’ hartal from 10 pm on October 17 till October 18 midnight demanding that the state government file a review petition in the Supreme Court against the September 28 order that granted women of all ages entry into Sabarimala.

The volunteers of AHP and other Hindu organisations will block all ‘female gender activist in 10 to 50 yrs age’  from the pilgrims arriving at the temple which will open for monthly poojas on October 17 evening. Meanwhile, the Kerala unit of Shiv Sena issues a statement as, “our suicide squads ready for ‘supreme sacrifice’ to save Sabarimala tradition+. In such a crucial situation in Sabarimala row, Travancore Devaswom Board (TDS), which manages the Lord Ayyappa temple calls Sabarimala tantris, Pandalam royals for talks to reach any solution+ to overcome the crisis.

Dr Togadia wanted the Centre to urgently issue an ordinance to nullify the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala “Such an ordinance was passed by the Centre when the apex court had banned Jallikkattu in Tamil Nadu, ” Dr Togadia said.

Togadia, while leading a march of AHP workers and Ayyappa devotees in the capital on Sunday, wanted the state government to cede control of the temples to the faithful. “In 1983, the K P Sankaran Nair Commission had submitted a report recommending the release of all temples from the control of devaswom boards and the government. The Commission wanted an administrative board elected by devotees,” he said, adding, that in 1984, the High Court had directed the government to implement the Commission’s recommendations. “A draft bill was prepared but it was not followed upon,” he said.

Dr Togadia, known as a right wing rabble-rouser, wanted the Centre to do its bit. “The central government must also act fast now. As the administration of the temples comes as an entry in part 3 in the schedule 7 of the Constitution, the Centre too has the necessary powers to pass the requisite laws,” he said. Dr Togadia also demanded that the Centre enact such a law immediately that would free the temples in the state from the devaswom boards. “We also want the Centre then to extend the law to temples in other states,” he said.

And while passing a law to free temples, Dr Togadia wanted the Centre to include two major clauses. One, the advisory board of each temple should be elected by the devotees. These boards will then form an independent ‘Devathanam Board’ under the guidance of the High Courts of each states. Two, money collected by the temples in any form should be used for social service: 25 per cent for the education of poor, 25 per cent for the health of the poor, 25 per cent for employment and entrepreneurship scheme for Hindu youth; and 25 per cent for the propagation of Hindu ideals.

Kerala unit of NDA warns Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan to review their stand on Sabarimala within 24 hours+. At the end of five-day Save Sabarimala Yatra, which concluded on Monday, with NDA leaders offering ‘namajapa’ in front of the Secretariat, put the Kerala government on notice. BJP Kerala president Sreedharan Pillai said if the state government failed to resolve the issue at the earliest, the BJP-NDA’s agitation would take a new turn.

While Kerala BJP is tremendously opposing the Sabarimala Verdict of Supreme Court, Some BJP Central leaders and Ministers are supporting the Supreme Court’s Sabarimala Verdict and airing the fire in Kerala. Very unfortunately, Dr Subramanian Swamy and Maneka Gandhi are toeing down the sentiments of crores of Malayali people for Sabarimala. While the Hindu sentiments of Kerala people are now united under Sabarimala row, that should be honored by an Ordinance to keep Sabarimala tradition intact. But, the script on Sabarimala is yet to be ready, and PM Modi can’t speak anything on it. The Kerala BJP and the its Central counterpart are advancing in opposite direction exposing BJP’s double standard. There is no consensus in BJP to move for an ordinance to save Sabarimala.

If Modi and BJP want a bloodbath in Kerala on Sabarimala issue for its political gain even through imposing an emergency in the state, that will the catastrophe for BJP in the South for ever.
