Former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari shot and stabbed to death in a very Jihadi style in Lucknow in Yogi’s Uttar Pradesh. Some says ISIS link.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Lucknow | Oct 18, 2019::  A popular and controversial Hindutva leader Kamlesh Tiwari, a controversial self-proclaimed saffron leader, died  on Friday, October 18 after being attacked by two unknown assailants at his office cum residence  in Khurshidbagh area of Naka Hindola in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, presently run by Yogi Adityanath led BJP Govt.

It is not yet clear if Mr. Tiwari, who was the president of the his newly formed saffron political wing,  Hindu Samaj Party, was shot or stabbed or both. A pistol was recovered from the spot but the body reportedly had stab wounds, sources said, even as police is investigating the case. Tiwari was self proclaimed former National president of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) but vehemently criticized and challenged by one Swami Chakrapaini, the leader of other ABHM faction. Due to differences with leaders of Hindu Mahasabha, he quit ABHM in January 2017 and formed Hindu Samaj Party of his own. Tiwari was a good public speaker and editor of his Pro-Hindutva news-views tabloid, “Rashtrawadi-Dharmaswatta”.

Tiwari was also one of the appellants in the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya title suit case.

The incident triggered stiff protests by his supporters. Two gunners deployed for his security were not on duty when the incident occurred, while another constable was asleep. as reported.

Police said two persons barged into the house and first slit Tiwari’s throat, then stabbed him several times on the chest before escaping. However, the police are yet to ascertain the exact motive of the murder. Police is trying to identify the assailants from the available CCTV footage.

Senior Superintendent of Police Lucknow, Kalanidhi Naithani said two people had come to visit Mr. Tiwari at his office-cum-residence in the Naka area of the Uttar Pradesh capital. The three had a discussion on the first floor of the office and even had tea, but soon after the two unidentified persons attacked Mr. Tiwari, Mr. Naithani said.

An injured Mr. Tiwari was taken to the Trauma Centre where he was declared dead, the officer said.

A weapon was recovered from the spot, even as police have formed 10 teams to investigate the case.

A friend of Mr. Tiwari’s, while speaking to media soon after the incident, said that one of the assailants was wearing saffron clothes and carried a pistol. The wearing of saffron clothes was perpetrated by the assailants to make a camouflage of Hindutva workers and pistol and knife both were used to murder Tiwari as revealed from the murder scene.

Mr. Tiwari shot into the limelight when in December 2015 as a member of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha he triggered protests by a section of Muslim groups over his derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad as ‘first pedophile ever in the world’ as his pungent to rebuttal to Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan who stamped RSS as the habitual offenders in sodomy and pedophile activities. The Uttar Pradesh government then slapped the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against Mr. Tiwari but could not take any action against Azam Khan. The Allahabad High Court released Tiwari from Jail almost one year after in September 2016  quashing the NSA on Tiwari.

At that time of hot exchange between SP leader Azam Khan and ABHM leader Tiwari some Jihadi outfits declare 1 crore rupees for the killing of Tiwari by beheading him and also demanded hanging of Tiwari unto death in open. It’s not clear whether that Jihadi gang is behind the murder of Kamlesh Tiwari in a very brutal way.

Mr. Tiwari contested the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Faizabad as an independent but lost deposit. He had several criminal cases against him, including those for promoting enmity between groups on ground of religion, outraging religious feelings and defiling places of worship.

From source+, it is leaked that the assailants took their weapons in sweets filled boxes purchased from Gujarat’s Surat city on Oct 16.  Kamlesh got life threat call from the same place some months ago and some ISIS linked captured Jihadi elements  confessed the threat matter to Gujarat ATS (Anti Terror Squad) which was conveyed to UP Police. The UP police failed to take any proper action so far as the reports o the situations went on.

Seeing the public repercussion in general, Police deployed heavy contingent in Khurshidbagh area of Naka Hindola in Lucknow to avoid any further law and order  situation.
