Anti-CAA protests to Delhi Riots – The handiwork of Islamic State to ‘overthrow Modi’.

Vicky Nanjappa | HENB | Bengaluru | March 2, 2020::  Ever since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India, there has been a sustained effort on part of both the Islamic radicals and the Left wing backed Naxalites to crush his government.

The Islamic radicals have been for long trying to send out a message that Modi is anti-Muslim. The protests around the newly amended citizenship law are clearly centred around a larger agenda and that is to wipe out the Modi government.

The latest threat:

The Al Talaal Media, a group on Telegram which is linked to the Islamic State has put out an article calling on the Indian Muslims to crush the Modi government. Crush the Modi government and join the Islamic State is the message the article sends out to the Indian Muslims.

The article also says that the Indian Muslims are being misguided in the name of nationalism. The Islamic State goes on to call the nationalism call as poison.

It also goes on to cite the communal riots of 2002 (in Gujarat) and the so-called oppression of Muslims in Delhi (during anti-CAA-NRC movements to the recent Riots in Feb, 2020).

ISIS recruitment:

The article spares no effort in spewing venom and portraying the Modi government as anti Muslim. Intelligence Bureau offcials, who have examined the article, tell MyNation+ that these protests are clearly engineered in a manner to incite Indian Muslims. The article is an attempt to turn every Indian Muslim into a radical. It is basically sending out a message to all Indian Muslims that their only hope is the Islamic State.

The article says that all Indian Muslims should join the caravan of the Islamic State, protect it and also establish a Caliphate. “Inshallah we will crush the fascist Modi government”, the article further goes on to state.

Terror recruitment:

This article comes in the backdrop of various other terror groups using the Delhi riots as a recruitment platform. Groups such as the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad have been circulating images on groups such as WhatsApp, Telegram and DarNet. The message is to all Indian Muslims to take up Jihad and overthrow the existing government.

These terror groups have created a poster with an image of an anti-CAA rally at Red Fort. The poster also bears the images of Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath. It further goes on to show Asaduddin Owaisi and Kanhaiya Kumar as freedom ghters. The message is to all Muslims of India to shun the government and take up Jihad and establish a Caliphate in India.

Agenda no longer hidden:

Despite making it amply clear that the CAA or the NPR will not affect any Muslim in India, there has been a steady effort to change the narrative. The Congress, Left, Islamic State, Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Lashkar-e-Tayiba are on overdrive mode to confuse the Indian Muslims that these exercises will affect them.

If one takes a look at the protests at Shaheen Bagh, it is clear that there is a hidden force behind it. The negotiations have failed, and the protesters have refused to clear the site despite it causing immense inconvenience to the common man. Former Research and Analysis Wing ofcer, Amar Bhushan says that the mediation is bound to fail. First and foremost, one cannot mediate with a mob. However, the more important thing is that no amount of mediation will work with a bunch of people who are extremely radicalised and brainwashed (by the Jihadi and Naxlite people), Amar Bhushan also says.
