The Jihadi cow smugglers attacked Raunak with sharp weapons and stabbed severally. While trying to intercept the cow laden containers, the gang of Muslim cow smugglers captured Raunak and he got severe head and leg injuries putting him a battle between life and death. The cattle loaded truck speeded away throwing Raunak on the roadside.

The smuggling of cow resources is a natural phenomenon in the cow-belt of Uttar Pradesh still now in BJP led Yogi Adityanath Govt there. Though many Hindu organizations (Go Raksha Dal) including Hindu Mahasabha have been trying to stop it, the cow smuggling rackets have also increased their power of attacks on Cow Vigilantes in a new Jihadi warfare. Many of Go Raksha (Cow vigilante) organisations allege that a section of Police Department is attached with the cow smuggling racket for which illegal cow smuggling and cow-slaughter rackets are not controlled in Uttar Pradesh.
Bajrang Dal and Hindu Mahasabha workers have freed thousands of cow resources from the clutches of cow smugglers and illegal slaughter houses in the past.
Hindu Mahasabha Central Spokesperson Sanjay Bhatt demanded early arrest of the culprits involved in the deadly attack on Raunak Thakur.
In a communication, Rajyashree Choudhury, All India President of a Hindu Mahasabha faction, instructed the Mahasabha workers to make a gherao the Agra Dist HQ on 6th April (Tuesday) until the culprits are arrested by police.
Eminent Hindu interlocutor Upananda Brahmachari urged the UP CM Yogi Adityanath and UP Police to stop Jihadi attack on Cow vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh and immediate arrest of culprits involved in attack on ABHM leader Raunak Thakur.
