Hindu Lives Matter: Hindu Sena protested on Post Poll Violence in Bengal in front of Delhi TMC Office.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | June 10, 2021:: As Hindus are endangered in West Bengal and being persecuted still now in the unabated post poll violence, the Hindu Sena staged a protest outside the Trinamool Congress (TMC) headquarters in Delhi. They also displayed banners written with ‘Mamta Didi Hindu Lives Matter’.

What exactly happened? A few supporters of the Hindu Sena appeared in front of the Trinamool headquarters at 71 South Avenue on Thursday afternoon. They demonstrated there. They also left the place after protest keeping numbers of banners in front of TMC- Delhi office. It is also reported that the outfit tried to burn the picture of Mamata Banerjee in front of Delhi TMC office. But, police was able to disperse the gathering beforehand. Protesters raised slogans, “Mamata Banerjee Murdabad – TMC Murdabad” and “Bangal me Hinduon ka upar atyachar bandh karo”. (Down Down Mamata Banerjee, Down Down TMC and Stop Violence on Hindus in Bengal).

Talking to the media about the protest, they said, “Hindus are being persecuted in West Bengal in post poll violence. Mamata Banerjee is doing gross injustice to the Hindus of Bengal only to please her Muslim voters. But, Hindus of Delhi will not spare the matter any way.” The protest was staged to rise an alarm to Mamata Banerjee about ‘Hindu Lives matter”. The ruling party in Bengal has not yet commented on the incident.

Hindu Sena vehemently criticized the Muslim appeasement policy of Mamata Banerjee and the Jihadi attacks on Hindus in Bengal under the protection of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinmool Congress Party. 

This is not the first time,  earlier in January, a banner of the Hindu Sena was seen outside the office at 71 South Avenue in Delhi.  At that time, Mamata banerjee left the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary celebrations at the Victoria Memorial (where PM Modi was also present) after hearing ‘Jai Sri Ram’ slogan from the audience. After that, a poster with the slogan ‘Jai Sri Ram’ was seen outside the Trinamool office in Delhi. Along with this, a poster saying ‘If you want to stay in India, you have to say Jay Sri Ram’ was also seen there.

The right wing party called Hindu Sena was formed in 2011 and operating their activities from their office at headquarters of the Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan in New Delhi. They got involved in the controversy by vandalizing the office of Pakistan International Airlines in January 2016.

As per a report as presented by Tapas Barik, the South Bengal Organizing Secreatry of Hindu Jagran Manch through a webinar held on June 7, 2021,  conducted by Center for Civilisational Studies of Jharkhand and Tarun Hindu of Dhanbad, a huge number of Hindus are still suffering in a Jihadi and Political onslaught in West Bengal.
