Upendra Bharti | HENB | Lucknow | May 1, 2022:: Giving importance to the Goraksha (Cow Protection), the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed officials to set up cow shelters at the block level and make arrangements to save the bovines from the heat and in any crisis of fodder, water, weather conditions or medicine.
“Make a plan to set up cow shelters at the block level having a capacity of 2,000-2,500 cows. The system should be maintained properly in all the cow shelters. Arrangements should be made to keep the cows safe from the heat or sun,” a statement quoting the Chief Minister said.
“There should be proper arrangements for green fodder, straw, water medicine etc. in those shelters. Wheat harvesting is going and in such a situation, it would be appropriate to buy animal feed now. It is expected to speed up the process of formation of milk committees,” he added.
If such arrangements are ready the problems of aged and stray cows and bovines will come down surely.
Yogi Adityanath gave the directions during a routine meeting with senior officials in Lucknow.
Expressing his support for this noble work from Yogi Govt in Uttar Pradesh, Hindu interlocutor and Hindu Existence Website Editor, Upananda Brahmachari tweeted+, “Gratitude to UP CM @myogiadityanath Ji for his great steps towards Go-Raksha. We raised the issue of high price of fodder & scarcity of cow shelters in the state and it is addressed.“
During his election campaign, Yogi Adityanath promised Rs 900 monthly stipend+ for keeping cow by any individual.
Addressing rallies in Ayodhya and Barabanki, the BJP chief minister said, “Our resolve was that we will neither allow cows to be slaughtered nor farmers’ crops to be damaged.”
Discussing the power supply in this summer festival season, CM directed the officials present in the meeting.
Asking officials to keep the power supply smooth on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Parshuram Jayanti and Eid, the Chief Minister said there should not be unnecessary power cuts.
“Arrangements should be made for cleanliness, drinking water etc. around religious places and care should be taken for the convenience of the people,” he added.
