Introducing Hinduism course in Mumbai University.

Now the education of Hinduism will also be given in Mumbai University, degree will be given in two years, know how the course is.

Pankaj Pandey | NBT Online | Mumbai | June 24, 2022:: Along with providing modern education to the students, the University of Mumbai has made preparations to teach the lesson of Hinduism. A special two-year course has been prepared to make the students aware of various aspects of Hinduism. A student who has completed a degree from any department can take admission in this course. Master of Art in Hindu Studies 60 seats have been arranged for this course. The Center for Hindu Studies (Hindu Abhyas Kendra) has been established by the university to provide detailed information on the oldest religion of the world. The university has started its admission process for 2022-23. Through the website of the university, uom.admissions.mu.ac.in, students can get detailed information about the course along with online application.

According to the university, during the course, students will be exposed to the main elements of Hinduism. In this, philosophy, epistemology and rationalism, which take care of all, will be included among others. Hinduism is not limited to rituals only. This religion is going to treat the whole world like one family.

Not limited to rituals

One of its main ideas is world peace, brotherhood, reverence, imagination and various thought. Keeping all these things in mind, its syllabus has been prepared. According to Dr. Ravikant Sagurde, Director-in-Charge of the Hindu Abhyas Kendra, Hinduism cannot be confined to rituals alone.

According to the university, this course will also be beneficial for corporate companies. This course will be helpful for companies to inculcate commitment, dedication and morale among their employees. The course’s practice center has been set up at the Bajaj Bhawan of the university. To connect more and more students to the center, soon degree and PhD courses will be started. This course is already taught in many universities of the country, this subject has also been included in the NET-SET exam.
