Hindutva mob beats up Muslim man in Maharashtra to prevent animal cruelty.

Why such incidents of animal cruelty are ignored by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)….

Shibram Talpade | HENB | Mumbai | April 28, 2023:: Angry Hindu Mob in Maharashtra’s Latur district thrashed a Muslim driver while was carrying 15 cows in a mini-track committing a huge animal cruelty, seemingly overlooked by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) – India.

A video has surfaced on social media in which the Hindutva mob can be seen forcing a Muslim driver transporting cattle to wear a skull cap and bow before a cow in the presence of police personnel.

The victim was also reportedly beaten up by the mob leading to injuries.

The incident reportedly happened in Latur City of Maharashtra and the victim was admitted to a hospital.

From the cow-smuggling syndicate as alleged, a local activist, has reportedly filed a police complaint asking that action be taken against the mob witnessed assaulting the driver. The driver has also been charged with several provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

It is reported, the driver had loaded a total of 15 cattle into a mini-truck from a Patoda-based animal market and sent them to Ausa market. The driver had not any legal documents for trading the animals, except some local pass given by the cattle smuggling racket. Before reaching the market, some Hindutva-supported cow-vigilante group waylaid his vehicle. The police reached the spot. An FIR was registered against the driver for cruelty to animals.

There are stringent regulations in Maharashtra to restrict the open beef market and cow trading in the state not to hurt the majority Hindu sentiments. But, Muslims are provoked to do so going against the Hindu sentiment.

Many Hindu groups in India are engaged to prevent slaughterhouses, cow killings, and illegal cow trading in India. Random cow slaughter by Muslims in a very inhumane way has already endangered the cow progeny (Bos-Indicus) in India.
