Riturani Rathaur | HENB | New Delhi | Nov 21, 2023:: Jai Bhauknaag Devta, the God of Nature. Jai Vishwakarma, The God of Engineers and Techies.
In a big breakthrough in the rescue operation in Uttarkashi, a 6-inch wide alternate pipe has managed to reach the 41 workers trapped after the tunnel collapsed days ago. The officials also sent nutritious food in plastic bottles to the trapped workers.
The Silkyara Tunnel Disaster in Uttarakhand is a biggest accident in last couple of decades in the history of tunnel-making undermining the natural justice to the nature Mother. Earlier, Uttrakhand have seen the Joshimath sinking and big cracks in homes, roads and other establishments in some other places due to random rampage on Nature in the name of mindless development.
In view of the challenging conditions faced by the trapped workers, the officials consulted medical experts to devise a special diet plan to address their nutritional needs. Today, khichdi, fruits including oranges, bananas, apples and ‘dalia’ (broken wheat) was supplied down the pipe to sustain the workers during this critical time. The khichdi was put in plastic bottles and sent down the pipe.
In short, the Silkyara Tunnel collapse has its story as below:
Story of #SilkyaraTunnel being constructed as part of an ambitious Chaar Dhaam national highway project.
The administration had demolished the local deity Bhauknaag Devtas temple for tunnels construction even amid protest from locals.
Then the tunnel collapsed on the #Diwali morning trapping 41 workers. Locals believe that its because of Devta’s anger!
Since then, for 9 days all attempts to rescue the workers failed. The truck which was carrying the augur machine for drilling fell in the George near Dehradun killing the truck driver.
Then yesterday, international president of the Underground Space tunnel Professor, Arnold Dix arrived at Silkyara tunnel and offered his prayers to the Bhauknaag devta residing in a make shift temple.
After a few hours, the rescue team got its first success . They were able to push thru a 6 inch pipe thru which hot food was sent to the trapped workers and now in a major breakthrough , contact with workers was re established.
Faith is paramount, the most superior of all forces. ‘Vikas’ fails when you try to destroy ‘faith’.
The Silkyara Tunnel Disaster in Uttrakhand must not tbe politicized anyway. Everybody is praying to Almighty for freeing the entrapped 41 workers in the underground tunnel.
Truth Triumphs. Faith Pervades.
