Why a Christian nurse accuses Hindu activists of bid to attack her, family in Karnataka?

Karnataka: Christian nurse was trying to convince patients to pray to Jesus for healing, Hindu activists objected. Nurse complained an alleged attack on her and family. 

Ashwini, an ANM  claimed that the group of Hindu activists tried to attack her and her family members at her residential quarters. She complained that the activists abused her in foul language.

B Upendran | HENB | Kalaburagi | Feb 25, 2024:: An Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) belonging to Christian community has lodged a complaint against nine activists of Hindu organisations, accusing them of trying to attack her family, abusing her over caste and for worshipping Bible, instead of Goddess Amba Bhavani.

But, the members of the Hindu organisation complained that the female Christian nurse was trying to convince patients to pray to Jesus for healing. She used to distribute Free Bibles and insisted the Hindu patients to go to the nearby Churches to get blessings of Jesus for all well being. When the members of the Hindu organisation objected the Christian preaching of the nurse in her duty hours, the Nurse locked horns saying her rights to propagate her faith whatsoever. The attitude of the nurse enraged the Hindu activists which cropped up a tussle between the Christian Nurse and the Hindu activists.  

Even, the members of the Hindu organisations requested the nurse  to tell the blessings of Mata Amba Bhavani to the Hindu patients and they pointed out the fallacy of Christian prayer or healing in the name of Jesus when most of the Pope, Christian Preachers died of serious ailments without getting any benefit of Christian prayer of Jesus healing.

Ashwini Tukaram, who hailed from Scheduled Caste community, was converted to Christian faith and got all the facilities of SC Community in an illegal way. She has lodged a complaint at Ratkal police station in Kalagi taluk. Ashwini  is a nurse with the health department. She claimed that the group of Hindu activists tried to attack her and her family members at her residential quarters. She complained that the activists abused her in foul language.

The nurse also accused the Hindu activists of threatening to kill her, apart from disrupting her work. She has lodged a complaint under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The role of a Christian nurse for her alleged pro-activism to preach Christianity during her duty hours has been opposed by the members of Hindu organisations and thus created a row.
