WB: Hindu woman Health Offices molested by a elderly Muslim man in Jalpaiguri.

A Hindu woman health officer was molested in a tense atmosphere of RG Kar Rape and Murder Backdrop. En elderly Muslim man was arrested as accused. Jalpaiguri is in a frenzy over the incident.

.Madhuparna Saha | HENB | Jalpaiguri | Oct 15, 2024:: An elderly local Muslim man was accused of molesting the Hindu Community Health Officer (CHO) of a health center in Sadar Block, Jalpaiguri (West Bengal) on Tuesday. As the news spread, tension went high in the area. The police of Kotwali police station rushed to the spot. The accused was brought to the police station. This created a tense atmosphere in backdrop of the  RG Kar Rape and Murder row. 

It is known that a 22-year-old woman from Jalpaiguri city joined the post of community health officer in the health center after getting a job a few months ago. She was in the office this afternoon. The health center was lonely without visitors or patents.. At that time, the accused Ayub Ali (70) went to the  health center with a plan to check the blood pressure there. After that, he allegedly started pulling the hand of the young woman. Then when the young woman screamed, the people around came running. They detained the accused. The relatives of the lady officer house also got the news. On their complaints, the police came to the health center and arrested the accused. It is known that the traumatised lady officer  is currently being counselled to overcome the shock.

Biswajit Dutta Chowdhury, maternal uncle of the girl, said we were shocked to hear this incident. We went to the village where the new health center is being built. There is no electricity connection. No CCTV cameras. There is no security system. We demand necessary action and also demand exemplary punishment of the accused.

Accused Ayub Ali admitted the allegations against him and said that there was a mistake. Superintendent of Police Umesh Khandabahale said that the accused has been arrested. Investigation of the incident has been started by filing a case under specific sections of BNS.

But, it remains unclear whether the accused septuagenarian Ayub Ali got excited and advanced to a young lady of 22 yrs old,  with an inspiration of Prophet Muhammad who consummated with 9 yrs Aisha in his quinquagenarian age.
