He breathed his last at 6:10 am in his ashram in Bhattyan village, confirmed Khargone District Superintendent of Police, Dharmaraj Meena.

Tributes poured in from various quarters, with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, and former Union Minister Arun Yadav among others expressing their deep condolences on the passing of the revered Hindu seer, who held a special place in the hearts of the people of the Nimar region.

The chief minister Mohan Yadav visited Baba’s ashram and paid tributes, describing the spiritual leader’s death as an irreparable loss to society and the seer community.

Siyaram Baba, a great devotee of Lord Hanuman, lived a life of simplicity and selflessness. Notably, he accepted only token donations of Rs 10 from his devotees. The humble contributions were utilized for noble causes: restoring the sacred Narmada Ghats and developing religious institutions and temples, reflecting his unwavering dedication to spiritual growth and community service.

Siyaram Baba was revered for his profound spiritual depth and unwavering devotion, exemplified by his incessant recitation of the sacred Ramcharitmanas. Embodying austerity, he lived a life of simplicity, donning minimalist attire, a langot to cover his genital area. He was never seen with any upper or lower clothings. His self-sufficiency was evident in his daily routine, where he would personally cook his meals and perform tasks with humility, reflecting his commitment to a life of spiritual discipline and self-reliance.

Despite reports suggesting Siyaram Baba was 94, numerous devotees, now aged 60-70, who came to attend his last rites, recalled encountering the saint in deep meditation (tapasya) when they were young, estimating his age then to be between 40-50. This has sparked curiosity about the saint’s remarkably long life, devoted to spiritual pursuits.
