Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | March 3, 2025:: Crazy Islamist, fanatic Jihadi propagator and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi recently tried to wash up the brutal attacks on Hindu Temples and shrines by Muslim rulers in his recent set of mischief.
Asaduddin Owaisi has been accused of downplaying the destruction of Hindu temples by Muslim rulers. At the 67th revival anniversary of AIMIM, Owaisi claimed that only 80 temples were destroyed under Muslim rule, citing a book by US historian Richard M Eaton. However, this claim has been disputed, and many argue that the actual number of destroyed temples is much higher. The book of Eaton is likely stuffed with half-baked truth and full of concoction and conjecture.
“They say everywhere in media that temples were demolished 400 years ago. Richard M Eaton writes in his book ‘Temple Desecration and Muslim States in Medieval India‘ that 80 temples were destroyed from the 11th century until 1600 – during Muslim rule,” Owaisi said while addressing a gathering at the 67th revival anniversary of AIMIM.
Naturally, Owaisi picked up the easy thread to evade the culpability of Muslim rulers who tried to destroy the Hindu temples and holy places with an ulterior Islamic motive.
Asaduddin Owaisi, a member of parliament and a barrister shamefully tried to hide the havoc on Hindu temples perpetrated by the Islamic rulers.
It is difficult to guess whether Richard M Eaton or Owaisi read the masterpiece book, Hindu Temples – What Happened to Them in two volumes by Sita Ram Goel, Arun Shourie, Harsh Narain, Jay Dubashi and Ram Swarup.

The first volume includes a list of 2,000 mosques that the authors claim had been built on top of the location of Hindu temples, based primarily on the books of Muslim historians of the period or inscriptions found on mosques. The second volume excerpts from medieval histories and chronicles and from inscriptions concerning the destruction of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist temples. The authors claim that the material presented in the book as “the tip of an iceberg”.
It is clear the Owaisi opted the views of the anti-Hindu school to challenge the growing demand for the reclaim of Hindu Temples and holy sites which were desecrated and turned as Muslim places of worship by the dint of royal force.
The liar Owaisi have no courage to deny the list of 2000 mosques which were built by Muslim invaders and rulers as mentioned in the book Hindu Temples – What Happened to Them.
Owaisi’s statement has been seen as an attempt to evade the culpability of Muslim rulers in the destruction of Hindu temples and holy sites. Critics argue that he is trying to hide the havoc perpetrated by Islamic rulers and is instead opting for the views of the anti-Hindu school. This move is seen as a challenge to the growing demand for the reclaiming of Hindu temples and holy sites that were desecrated and turned into Muslim places of worship.
Not only eighty, eight thousands Hindu temples will be detected, if properly investigated, those were attacked and destroyed under Islamic impunity in India.
