Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | June 22, 2025:: Bhupendra Tomar, popularly known as Pinky Chaudhary, leader of the far-right group Hindu Raksha Dal, has sparked controversy with his recent remarks on the consequences of jihadi Muslims joining the police and army in India. During a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary stated:
“Aaj hum surakshit hain kyunki police mein hamare Hindu bhai hain, seema par hamare Hindu bhai hain. Jis din police mein yeh jihadi bharti ho jaayenge, us din aapko koi nahin bacha sakega. Jis din border par yeh bharti ho jaayenge, us din aapko koi nahin bacha sakega.“
(Translation: “Today, we are safe because our Hindu brothers are in the police and on the borders. The day these jihadis get recruited into the police and at the borders, no one will be able to save you.”)
Leader of Hindu Raksha Dal, Pinky Chaudhary, recently made straight-cut remarks during a public meeting in UP. The video goes viral in social media platforms. The speech is a probability of Jihadi infiltration in Police and BSF. This is an ultimate reality on Hindu's Security. pic.twitter.com/PURyRoKVT2

Historical References and Concerns
Chaudhary further claimed, “Hamare itihaas mein hai jitne bhi Musalman the, jab Pakistan ke saath jang hui thi toh unhone hathiyar chhod diye the, kehne lage hum ladenge nahin. Aisi sthiti yahan bhi hogi.“
(Translation: “All the Muslims in our history, when conflict with Pakistan arose, laid down their arms and said they wouldn’t fight. Such a situation will happen here as well.”)
Context and Intent
While Chaudhary’s remarks appear to be inflammatory, it is essential to consider the context and intent behind his words. He likely aimed to highlight the threat posed by extremist elements within the Muslim community, often referred to as jihadi Muslims, who seek to undermine national security and stability.
Previous Controversies
This is not the first time Chaudhary has courted controversy with his remarks. In the past, he has urged Hindus to arm themselves for the protection of Mother India and alleged that Muslims have vowed to demolish the Ram Mandir if a Muslim Prime Minister is ever elected.
No FIR
Despite demands from the Muslim community, no First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Pinky Chaudhary for his controversial remarks. This has raised questions about the handling of so called ‘hate speech’ and the ‘application of the law’. Chaudhary’s comments have raised concerns about the potential for communal tensions in the conflit of ‘right to speech’ and ‘hate speech’.
The Reality
It is true that some patriotic Muslims serve in the police and army, while jihadi Muslims in India attempt to undermine the morale of ordinary Muslims against the Indian constitution, administration, police, and defense, and even attack them in a culpable manner. Homegrown jihadi terrorism consistently targets Indian civilians and police in a perilous way. Hindu Rakshak Dal leader Pinky Chaudhary likely aimed to highlight this in his statements.
