Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | Nov 26, 2025:: Mahamandaleshwar Yati Narasimhanand Giri, known for his bold statements on Hindutva and Islamic Jihad, was detained by the Ghaziabad police on Monday. The police had placed him under house arrest a day prior to prevent him from staging a protest at the Prime Minister’s residence.

According to reports, Yati Narasimhanand and his colleagues, including Dr. Udita Tyagi, Anil Yadav, and others, were stopped from leaving the Dasna Devi temple, where they were planning to begin their march to the Prime Minister’s residence. The group was demanding the release of a white paper on Islamic Jihad.

Yati Narasimhanand claimed that the police were harassing him, saying, “I am a Sanatni Hindu saint fighting for Hindutva.” He further alleged that the detention was a “murder of democracy.”

The police had taken preventive measures to detain Yati Narasimhanand and other protesters, including Yati Ransinghanand Giri, Yati Abhayanand Giri, Chahan Singh Baliyan, Sachin Sirohi, Arun Tyagi, and Brijmohan Singh, at Shiv Shakti Dham Dasna.

Notably, Yati Narasimhanand’s demand for a white paper on Islamic Jihad comes after the Delhi Car Bomb Blast near the Red Fort and its connection with Al Falah University and alleged Islamic terror planning involving ricin poisoning. These jihadist activities are reportedly planned by a white-collar module of JeM ( Jaish-e-Mohammed) involving qualified Muslim doctors and Muslim university professors.
