A massive controversy has engulfed the Nashik BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), with nine FIRs, multiple arrests, and an ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe exposing what complainants describe as a deeply disturbing pattern of sexual harassment, intimidation, and religiously charged misconduct.
As testimonies continue to surface, sections of the media and commentary space have begun referring to the alleged pattern as “Corporate Jihad”—a term used to describe what they claim is a coordinated attempt involving harassment, coercion, and religious targeting within a corporate environment. While this term is not a legal classification, its growing usage reflects the intensity of the allegations now under investigation.
One of the most explosive complaints comes from a 25-year-old Business Process Associate, registered as FIR No. 165/2026 at Mumbai Naka Police Station on April 2, 2026.
She has accused Tausif Attar, a Business Process Leader, of:
More shockingly, her FIR details derogatory and inflammatory remarks about Hindu beliefs, including statements such as:
“Brahma is the rapist of his own daughter”
“Mahadev is not God”
She further alleged that:
According to her complaint, the accused attempted to assert that:
She interpreted these remarks as an attempt to demean her faith while elevating another.
The same complainant detailed explicit incidents, including:
“I also have chhas, do you want it?” — she alleged, stating he pointed at his private parts.
She further claimed that such behaviour was not limited to her, but extended to other women in the office.
A 36-year-old Team Leader, with over a decade at TCS, alleged years of harassment ignored by management.
She accused Shafi Sheikh of:
Despite complaints to seniors, including Nitin Kapoor and Deepak Singh, she claims no effective action was taken.
She also made a striking allegation against Tausif Attar, stating that after her miscarriage:
She described these remarks as deeply intrusive and insensitive, targeting her personal and medical trauma.
A 23-year-old associate alleged targeted harassment by Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi.
Her complaint includes:
One statement recorded in the FIR reads:
“Isko tere liye ready kar”
The complainant interpreted this as an attempt to “prepare” or groom her for another colleague, raising serious concerns about coordinated behaviour.
During Gudi Padwa (March 19, 2026), she alleged:
Another 23-year-old employee provided one of the most detailed and disturbing accounts.
She accused:
Asif Ansari
Raza Memon & Shahrukh Qureshi
Religious Remarks
She alleged statements such as:
“Because you don’t wear burqa, rapes happen in your religion”
“Your gods roam naked… how do you like such gods?”
Gudi Padwa Incident
She stated she endured this due to fear of losing her job, leading to severe mental trauma.
A contractual employee, quoted in media reports including NDTV, alleged:
“Go make Hindu girls your girlfriends and marry them”
He also alleged:
These claims are currently under investigation.
The HR manager Nida Khan, described by some as a “lady captain,” is currently absconding.
She has been accused of:
Police have indicated that failure to act on repeated complaints may amount to abetment.
Arrests and SIT Investigation
So far, police have arrested:
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing what officials describe as a potentially organised pattern of misconduct from 2022 to 2026.
Tata Consultancy Services has maintained that it has a zero-tolerance policy.
Natarajan Chandrasekaran termed the allegations:
“Gravely concerning and anguishing”
The company has:
With:
…the case is being examined not as isolated incidents but as a possible systemic pattern.
The overlap of:
has made this one of the most serious workplace controversies involving a major corporate entity in India.
The Nashik TCS case has now moved far beyond individual complaints. It has triggered:
While terms like “Corporate Jihad” are being used in sections of media and public discourse to describe the alleged pattern, the final determination of facts, intent, and scale will depend on the SIT probe and judicial process.
What is already clear, however, is that the testimonies, FIRs, and arrests together paint a deeply troubling picture of a workplace environment where, according to complainants, harassment, intimidation, and insensitive conduct persisted over years.
It is unbelievable that in an associate of a multinational company like TCS, where educated and progressive professionals are at the forefront, such alleged “Corporate Jihadis” were active in exploiting Hindu girls through sexual harassment, religious demonization, gender bias, and intimidation. “Victims allegedly forced to offer namaz, subjected to Islamic conversion, forced to beef eating, and sexually harassed”—is this just workplace sexual harassment? No. It is Islamic jihad, not just love jihad or anything like that in simple set up, but obviously a religious warfare. One must understand Islamic theology towards non-Muslims to recognize it around us.
Meanwhile, developments in the legal proceedings indicate that one of the accused, Danish Sheikh, has already moved a bail application before the Nashik Road Sessions Court. The plea, filed on April 9, 2026, is being argued by Advocate Deore Prashant A.
The matter was taken up for hearing on April 10 before Additional Sessions Judge K. G. Joshi, who directed the police and the prosecution to submit their responses. The court also instructed the applicant to furnish copies of the plea to the concerned parties. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for May 2, 2026.
Amid the ongoing investigation, it is further learnt that certain Muslim organisations have come forward in support of Danish and the other accused. At the same time, reports indicate that Hindu groups and legal representatives are mobilising in response, with protests emerging in Pune and Nashik over the controversy surrounding the case.
