Hindu and Sikh celebrate Prakash Purav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee universally.

India is celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti. PM Modi conveys message of harmony on Guru Nanak Jayanti. Same fervour of celebrations of Gurpurab are felt worldwide.

gurpurab1HENB | New Delhi | Nov 25, 2015:: Hindu and Sikh brothers in India jointly celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurpurab on Wednesday, the most sacred festival observed by Sikhs worldwide. Gurpurab marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism and the first of the 10 Sikh Gurus.

Celebrations begin a day before Gurupurab, with devotees singing hymns and prayers in praise of the guru and organizing processions.

On the occasion of Guru Nanak’s birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today underlined the message of harmony and compassion propagated by the founder of Sikhism, a message that assumes significance in the midst of “intolerance” debate.

“On Guru Nanak Jayanti, my greetings to everyone. Guru Nanak Dev’s message of service, compassion and harmony inspire eternally,” Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister’s message assumes significance in view of the “intolerance” debate, which has been further fueled by film star Aamir Khan’s remarks that he was “alarmed” by a number of incidences and his wife Kiran Rao had wondered if they should move out of India.

Guru Nanak Jayanti also known as Gurpurab and Prakash Utsav marks the birthday of the first Sikh Guru Guru Nanak. It is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism and is celebrated by Hindus also with equal fervour.

Instead of Hindu and Sikh Please write Hindu Sikh celebrate Prakash Purav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee universally. Because Babaji selected Panj Pyare from Hindu Community.

Your point is quiet right. Please mind it all Hindus are not Sikh, but all Sikhs are obviously Hindu.

      Happy Guurupurub.

Sikhs are our brave Hindu brothers. Great Sikh was created by our brave Hindu ancestors, to protect weaker Hindus, who surrendered to tyrant Muslim moguls who forcibly converted them to Islam.  great Sikhs gave many sacrifices to protect, weaker and righteous mankind. WE HINDUS ARE PROUD OF OUR BRAVE SIKH BROTHERS.  Sri Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Sri Waheguru ji ki fateh Tr.
