Ajay Kaul | HENB | Jammu | Sept 8, 2016:: Jammu Citizen Forum and Hindustani Balidani Jattha members today took out a Mega Bike Rally in Jammu City in support of Indian Army and the security forces including the state police, ‘who are fighting against the proxy war triggered by Pakistan in the Kashmir valley’.
As per a press release, scores of youth and school children mainly belong to Hindu and Sikh society from across the Jammu Province assembled at Maulana Azad Stadium to participate in the rally.
“The rally was organized by the Forum to highlight the role and sacrifices of our great and valiant army in Jammu and Kashmir” the Press release stated.
It furthers stated that the participation in the rally ‘irrespective of religion, caste, colour and creed’. A part of the rally also highlighted the inexplicable plight of uprooted Hindu Pandits from Kashmir valley and demanded inclusion of PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) in India through an meaningful Indian intervention.
The participants raised slogans to ‘praise Indian Army and security forces for performing their duties in turmoil hit Kashmir valley’.
Later the Forum members submitted a memorandum to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal ‘to place on record deep sense of appreciation of the people of Jammu Province to the sterling contribution of valiant officers and Jawans of Indian Army in preserving and safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India’.
“No anti-national ideology from any forum either its political or social operational in Kashmir valley will be acceptable by the Jammu and people in this region will have all support and cooperation for the security personnel,” the memorandum reads.
“The rally after covering the main markets and bazars of the winter capital, reached ‘Balidan Stamb’, the memorial of Indian Army where the participants paid tributes to those sacrificed lives for the country” the release stated.
