Indian Mujahideen threatens to blow up Bareilly railway station over Hindu Kanwar Yatra route.

Satyapal Singh Narad | HENB | Bareilly | July 26, 2019:: Munne Khan, also known as ‘Mullah’, self-claimed the area commander of Indian Mujahideen (IM) has sent a letter to Bareilly railway station superintendent Satyaveer Singh, threatening to ‘blow up the station if kanwarias in any Kanwar Yatra pass through Muslim-dominated areas in the city’.

Kanwar Yatra is a popular Hindu rituals during the Hindu month ‘Sawan’ which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kanwarias (the participants in Kanwar Yatra) take a long route march on bare foot with Ganga water in pots to offer the same to Lord Shiva. Kanwar Yatras now a days are observed in pompous with tableau and DJ in many places.

Getting the threat letter by the railway authority, vigil in and around the railway station has been intensified and policemen in plain clothes are being deployed there to avoid any attack by IM on the Kanwarias in Bareilly railway station.

In the letter, the area commander has said: “I, area commander of IM, want to inform station superintendent that if Kanwarias pass through the Muslim dominated areas, we will explode the railway station. You better inform the police and administration.”

Station house officer of the government railway police, Bareilly, Krishna Avtar said, “We are keeping a close eye on each and every person visiting station.”

Notably, in the past few years, the district had hit national headlines due to scuffle between Hindu and Muslim  communities over the Kanwar Yatra route.

Earlier, Indian Mujahideen gave threat calls (Threat Jihad) for mass killing of Hindus in India in many occasions.
