VHP & Bajrang Dal to install seven-feet high statue of Bharat Mata in Delhi.

Seven-feet statue of Bharat Mata in Delhi to be installed by VHP-Bajrangdal to celebrate abrogation of Article 370.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Sept 29, 2019:: In a first for Delhi, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal  installed an  idol of Bharat Mata at a temple in northeast Delhi on Sunday through Vaidik rituals, Shastriya Puja and Prana Pratistha. The organisation announced to erect a life size 7 feet statue of a Bharat Mata under a canopy in a suitable place in the roadside near the temple.

The statue will be consecrated at a temple at Karawal Nagar under  Sonia Vihar police station jurisdiction  to “celebrate” abrogation of article Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and to mark VHP’s 55th establishment day.

This programme has also its relevance to show the public reverence to Bharat Mata, when the fundamentals like Asaduddin Owaisi and Azam Khan have been defaming the statute of Bharat Mata through their Islamic ideals.

“When Article 370 was repealed from Jammu and Kashmir, a sense of oneness grew stronger among all Indians. The sentiment of patriotism is so strong that we decided to have a statue of Bharat Mata. There were also suggestions that we should pray to Bharat Mata more than our deities,” said Abhilash Singh, a senior VHP functionary.

Singh said he was surprised that he could not find a single idol for Bharat Mata when he went to buy it.

“When I went to a shopkeeper, he told me that in the past 40 years in the shop no one has ever sought a Bharat Mata idol. The idol has been bought from Jaipur and pran pratishtha will be done,” Singh said.

The statue will be consecrated in the presence of top leadership of VHP along with other Rashtriya Sawayamsevak Sangh associates like the Durga Vahini and the Bajrang Dal. The VHP has made elaborate preparations for the event.

There was a three-kilometre ‘shobha yatra’ by the sisters from Durga Vahini whereas motorcycle rally was taken out by Bajrang Dal workers as the day is auspicious too being the first Navratra.

The life size 7 feet statue of a Bharat Mata is planned to be erected in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar on 12 January, on the day of birth celebration of the ‘Cyclonic Hindu Monk of India.’

One of the organizers told that Kashmir and Bharat Mata were both connected with the life of Swami Vivekananada. Swami Ji went to Kashmir and offered prayer to Khir Bhawani to get the blessings of Maha Shakti and worshiped a Muslim girl child  (Kumari Puja) as Mahamaya (goddess Durga).

The VHP leader from the organizers told further that Swami Vivekananda wanted  ‘Worship of Bharat Mata’ in every direction. “Let the other gods and goddesses to sleep for next 50 years.  Bharat Mata is always awakening for her children. We have to worship Bharat Mata except others for next 50 years. We must be inspired with the servitude of Hanuman and worship him also. Let the Shakti Puja (Worship of Power) be prevailed in every direction,” the enthusiastic VHP leader was quoting from Swami Vivekananda as told his disciples and the young generation of India!

In the programme of Bharat Mata Pratistha Karyakram (installation programme) at Delhi’s Karwal Nagar by VHP-Bajrang Dal on Sunday, participants mourned the demise of Delhi’s Two times MP and former VHP National Secretary Baikunth Lal Sharma (Prem) and observed two minutes Mauna (silence). Sharma was also an iconic figure of Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement who passed away on Saturday at his 90 yrs of age.
