Book launch on former Pakistan PM Imran Khan cancelled in Bengaluru after Protest from Hindu Organisations led by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and & Shri Ram Sena. 

B Upendran | HENB | Bengaluru | Oct 27, 2022:: A book on former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was set for launch in Bengaluru on Thursday but had to be cancelled after Hindu organisations protested against the programme and demanded police not to give permission for the event in anyway.

The book titled “Imran Khan: A Living Legend”, originally written in Kannada as ‘Imran Khan Ondu Jeevanta Danta Kathe‘ by Sudhakar SB was set to be launched at Kalagrama near Mallathahalli in Bengaluru at 5pm on Thursdayin the presence of  retired Karnataka High Court Judge Justice H N Nagamohan Das.

But, the Hindu organisations like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sri Ram Sena and others in Bengaluru was not ready to hold the function viewing the controversial anti-Indian role of Imran Khan in his tenure as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The protests were called by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shri Ram Sena, Hindu Vedike, Raastra Rakshana Pade and Vishva Hindu Sanatana Parishat. Mohan Gowda, spokesperson of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said, “Imran Khan is from an enemy nation. He hated India when he was the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Many soldiers were killed in the Pulwama attack during his reign. Why should we allow the book launch of an anti-Indian?”

Following the protests, the hall owners cancelled the programme alleging they were misguided by the organisers. HENB tried contacting the organisers repeatedly but they did not answer.

Calling the cancellation of the book launch “regrettable,” Sudhakar SB said that he would no longer push for the launch of the book anywhere in Bangalore. “All news channels have carried that somebody has written about Imran Khan..all this is nothing but propaganda against Imran Khan,” said Sudhakar adding, “There are no pro-Hindu or bad Hindu, all are Hindus in India…even I am a Hindu activist.” But, it is not understood, how a pseudo-Hindu Sudhakar got the inspiration to praise and write a book on anti-Indian Imran Khan by the way.

It took Sudhakar three-and-a-half years to complete the research for the book although he did not contact Khan, the protagonist of his book, or anyone from Pakistan.

“The book talks about Imran Khan’s integrity, social awareness…commitment towards society, transparency towards administration and how he is committed to social justice and equality in Pakistan,” said the author.

It is highly deplorable that the oddly inspired writer tried to promote an anti-India personality from an enemy country like Pakistan.

Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi spokesperson Mohan Gowda recalled that the Pulwama attack that left 43 Indian soldiers dead, took place (14 February 2019) during the tenure of Imran Khan (August 2018- April 2022). As the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Khan was also involved in promoting terrorism in Kashmir and carrying out anti-India campaign, he alleged. “Glorifying the prime minister of an enemy nation is an anti-national act. We also demand action against those who organised the event and the book should be banned,” Gowda said.

‘In the tenure of Imran Khan the lone wolf attacks and Jihadi activities were also escalated in the Kashmir valley with the support of ISI and Pakistani Army’ Gowda told HENB.

Today,  Hindu Janajagruti samiti and  Sri Ram Sena also  filed a complaint in Jnanabharati Police station, Bengaluru against the book launching.

At present, the diplomatic relations etc. of India with Pakistan is also stalled for a reasonable time.
