Before the inauguration of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Hindutva leader Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya got Z category security.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Bhopal | Dec 12, 2023:: On the basis of intelligence input, the security of prominent Hindu leader of Madhya Pradesh Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya has been increased. Now orders have been issued to give them Z security cover. Pawaiya, who was the main focal point of the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, was the national coordinator of Bajrang Dal at that time. Sources say, “Incriminating  threat perception on the Hindutva leader believed as a key to Babri destruction may come from the Jihadi sides likely to take revenge during the Ram mandir inauguration’.   

Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya told that he has received this information only today. It has been told that the Home Ministry has issued this order due to IB inputs regarding the inauguration of Ram Mandir.

Pawaiya is the main accused in the Bawari demolition case

Originally from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh background, Pawaiya is considered to be one of the main protagonists of the Ram Mandir movement and the demolition of the Bawari structure. Pawaiya, who had a staunch Hindu image, was accused along with key figures like Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Mahant Avaidyanath, Ashok Singhal, Binay Katiyar, Vishnu Hari Dalmia, Giriraj Kishore, Kalyan Singh  following this framework.

It is believed that Pawaiya played a crucial role to destroy the Babri structure with the help of a band of Chambal dacoits who were also present on 6th Dec 1992 in Ayodhya  and immensely helped to start the demolition of Babri structure.  Pawaiya established that connection with Chambal as rumouer spread then.

Pawaiya has been the national coordinator of Bajrang Dal

The credit for giving impetus to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement goes to Pawaiya. VHP first made him the head of Bajrang Dal in Madhya Pradesh and then when the time came to give momentum to the movement, Pawaiya along with Vinay Katiyar was given the command of Bajrang Dal at the national level and he played an important role in preparing the Bajrangis who would do the destruction. . This is the reason that after the demolition, a case was registered including him among the main accused in this case.

Pawaiya became 2nd National President of Bajrang Dal after Binay Katiar in 1995 and posted as National General Secretary of Bajrang Dal in 1993.

They have had tight security for a long time

Since the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, he is considered to be on the radar of Muslim fundamentalists and he has been given security arrangements. Till now he was getting Y category security, but now Shri Ram Temple is to be inaugurated in Ayodhya next month. Meanwhile, based on the inputs received by IB and other security agencies, in the review done by the Home Ministry recently, a decision was taken to increase his security arrangements. The Home Ministry issued orders. Now there will be Z category security around them. Pawaiya confirmed this to NDTV but refused to say anything else.

Pawaiya has been an MP and Minister

Pawaiya, who has been an MP and minister, after joining BJP from Sangh, Bharatiya Janata Party made him its Lok Sabha candidate. He once served as MP from Gwalior and was also elected as MLA from Gwalior assembly constituency. During that time, he also became the Higher Education Minister in Shivraj Singh’s government but lost the 2018 elections. Presently he is the co-in-charge of Maharashtra from BJP.

Intends to join the Pranpratistha ceremony

As it is divulged, Pawaiya has expressed his sole intention to join the Pranpratistha ceremony of the newly built Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.

“My heart beats with the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement. Hindu Samaj has been waiting for a Grand Temple in Ram Janmabhoomi. It is my earnest desire to Prabhu Ram to allow me to join that auspicious most programme in my life…” Pawaiya told his close circle.
