Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New  Delhi | Feb 10, 2026:: A decisive pledge to intensify and expand the ‘Ghar Wapsi’ (reconversion) movement across India was taken at a national-level conference held in the capital on Saturday. The event brought together representatives of more than 25 organizations, along with advocates, entrepreneurs, and social activists actively associated with the movement from various parts of the country.

The conference was jointly organized under the aegis of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Sanatan Ghar Wapsi Foundation, and Sanatan Samvaad, and was held on February 8 at The Exotica Grand, Patel Nagar, New Delhi. The gathering marked a significant step toward coordinated national efforts aimed at strengthening the reconversion initiative.

Prominent attendees included HJS mentor Sadguru Dr. Charudatta Pingale, Swami Radhakantananda of Ramakrishna Sewa Ashram, Deoghar, Rahul Dewan of Fourpursuits and Sangam Talks, Vivek Agrawal of Sanatan Samvaad, along with several other distinguished speakers and delegates.

During the conference sessions, participants engaged in in-depth deliberations on the social, legal, economic, and political challenges associated with the Ghar Wapsi campaign. Emphasis was placed on developing practical, lawful, and effective strategies to address these challenges, while ensuring sustained grassroots engagement and institutional coordination.

A major highlight of the event was the formal launch of a dedicated digital platform — [www.sanatansamvaad.com]. The platform aims to serve as a national forum to enhance coordination, dialogue, information-sharing, and cooperation among organizations working on Ghar Wapsi initiatives across India.

The conference concluded with a collective resolve to reinvigorate the Ghar Wapsi movement as part of broader efforts to protect India’s cultural heritage, national security, and Sanatan traditions. Participants also committed to launching organized awareness campaigns to engage wider sections of society.

Speaking to HENB, Swami Radhakantananda (Uday Maharaj) described the conference as a timely and necessary initiative to address what he termed large-scale conversion activities by certain Christian agencies and Islamist organizations. He expressed concern that such activities, according to him, are leading to a decline in the Hindu population and contributing to demographic imbalance.

Swami Radhakantananda further emphasized that collective, well-planned Ghar Wapsi projects, supported by clear strategies and dedicated manpower, are essential to safeguarding Hindu society from what he described as an impending social and cultural crisis.

Significantly, such programmes are being curated by smaller organizations operating outside the Sangh Parivar (RSS-affiliated organizations), aiming to expand the reconversion movement from a broader perspective. These initiatives seek to advance the cause through an alternative Hindutva-based approach, emphasizing grassroots engagement, cultural reawakening, and inclusive ideological outreach beyond conventional organizational frameworks providing adequate fund flow.
