Bageshwar Dham’s Sanatan Hindu Ekta Rath Yatra 3.0: 500 km, Five Districts, Seven Pledges for Hindu Rashtra.

Bageshwar Dham Baba Dhirendra Shastri’s Sanatan Hindu Unity Rath Yatra 3.0 to Cover 500 km Across Five Districts in Bundelkhand; Shastri Announces Seven Pledges Every 20 km.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Oct 10, 2026:: Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is organising the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Yatra 3.0 for the third consecutive year.

This year, the event will take the form of a chariot procession rather than a foot march. Its objective is to unite Hindus in support of Sanatan Dharma and promote Hindutva.

The yatra will begin on October 11 at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, with the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa and the national anthem. Spiritual storytellers Indresh Upadhyay and Chitralekha, along with Guru Meema Ji, have already released videos confirming their participation.

The procession will pass through five districts of the Bundelkhand region—Chhatarpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar and Tikamgarh—before concluding in Tikamgarh on October 15. It will cover a total distance of 500 km, with the organisers planning to travel approximately 100 km a day, followed by overnight halts.

Two chariots will be part of the yatra. The first is being prepared by decorating a vanity van for Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, while the second will carry Balaji Maharaj.

Ahead of the yatra, Bageshwar Dham Baba addressed the media and spoke about the preparations and the objectives of the procession.

During the press conference, Shastri said, “We have switched from a foot march to a chariot procession to cover more places in less time. We want to unite the country so that India becomes noble, grand and divine.

“We want an ideological revolution in India that promotes peace in people’s minds while transforming their thinking, enabling the country to move forward.

“At present, we are fighting casteism. Instead, we should be fighting anti-national elements and terrorists. Politics today is making people from different castes fight among themselves, including upper-caste and backward-caste communities.”

Shastri also recalled the teachings of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya, stating, “Our revered Jagadguru Ramanandacharya said, ‘Whoever worships Hari belongs to Hari; no one should be asked about their caste.’ That is why we are undertaking this first chariot procession as part of Yatra 3.0.”

Caste Divisions and Underdevelopment in Bundelkhand

Speaking about Bundelkhand, Shastri described the region as underdeveloped and divided, arguing that it lagged behind in terms of both development and ideas. Nevertheless, he said, the region possessed immense talent, a rich artistic tradition and people with creative thinking. He also described its people as simple and innocent.

“People here get divided along caste lines. The conflict between upper and backward castes is most intense in the Sagar division, around Chhatarpur district. This is where such tensions begin, and caste-based rigidity is particularly pronounced,” he said.

“We want to douse these flames. We are saints, and our role is to treat everyone equally. We want to see everyone as one.

“Sanatan Dharma upholds the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’—the world is one family. People are spewing hatred against other castes, which is harmful to the country and society.

“We are neither the government nor those in power who can undertake large-scale measures to bring about change.

“The government is doing its work in its own way, and saints must do theirs. As part of our duty as saints, we are setting out to clear up the mess created by caste divisions and spread the message of equality.”

Shastri further announced that a small gathering would be organised every 20 km along the route, during which people would be encouraged to take seven pledges. The initiative will focus on promoting unity among followers of Sanatan Dharma.

Seven Pledges of the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Yatra 3.0

The seven pledges announced for the yatra are:

  1. To declare India a Hindu nation.
  2. To eradicate casteism and untouchability.
  3. To grant the cow the status of Rashtra Mata (Mother of the Nation).
  4. To curb illegal religious conversions and the alleged menace of ‘love jihad’.
  5. To secure the release and protection of major Hindu pilgrimage sites.
  6. To connect the next generation with the values and traditions of Sanatan Dharma.
  7. To unite all Hindus and promote Hindu unity.

Divya Darbars and Arrangements Along the Route

Local committees have been formed at various locations to arrange food and accommodation for devotees participating in the yatra. A Divya Darbar (spiritual court) will also be held at the locations where the procession halts overnight.

According to the organisers’ plans, these programmes will take place at night in Panna, Hata, Sagar, Tikamgarh and Chhatarpur.

Preparations for the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Rath Yatra have been underway at Bageshwar Dham for the past month. Members of the Bageshwar Dham committee and local groups are coordinating arrangements, finalising the route, identifying overnight halts and overseeing preparations at each stop.

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has personally been meeting and consulting local committee members and coordinators across the five districts to review arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the procession.
