Blatal attack on Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims condemned by Hindus through Jammu ‘Bandh’ (shut down) on Saturday and protests of VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiva Sena and other Hindu outfits seen in many places.

Hindu Existence Media Bureau | Jammu | 19 July 2014:: Hindus in Jammu, Punjub, Haryana and Delhi protested vehemently against the communal attack upon the Hindu-Sikh pilgrims of yearly Shri Amarnath Yatra at Baltal route on Friday.  The winter capital Jammu Kashmir today responded a largely to the ‘bandh’ called by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrangdal, Shiva Sena and Panthers Party in view of Muslim menace upon the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims and the communal tension erupted in Baltal Base of Sri Amarnath Yatra, in which scores of Hindu pilgrims including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel got injured and over 10 langars/bhandaras and more than 100 tents were put ablaze.

Jammu and adjacent places observed an almost shut down on VHP and other Hindu Organization’s call on Saturday to convey a solidarity to the Hindu pilgrims went under abrupt attack of the Muslim ponnywallas and fanatical elements.

Shops, business establishments, local workshops remained closed while scanty of the commercial vehicles were seen on the roads.

Government offices, private offices and educational institutions witnessed a very thin attendance due to the strikes.

 The commuters in urgency and the Vaishno Devi Pilgrims in katra faced severe problems due to non availability of usual transportation including the long rout buses and vehicles.

Activists of VHP, Bajrangdal and other Hindu outfits staged strong protests in various places in Jammu and out-skirts against the alleged thrashing of some members maintaining langar/bhandara (free community kitchen for pilgrims) and ill behaving with the female pilgrims at Baltal by the rowdy ponnywallas and Muslims fanatics on Friday. It was told that the enraged Muslims scuffled with Hindu Langar owners and raised slogans for Free Kashmir and condemned attack on Gaza strips by Israel in recent.

The Muslim attackers blamed the CRPF for putting fire on Tents, but the blast of gas cylinders in the langers were the source of unchecked fire in the nearby tents.

The Hindu Sadhus from various Akhadas and female pilgrims staying in different Dharamshala and resting places took the roads in Jammu on Saturday in protest against the routine disturbance by Muslim elements in the period of yearly Amarnath Yatra.

The Bajrang Dal activists jammed different roads and put fires in tyres . Hundreds of activists were arrested by J&K Police and set free afterwards.

In Fatehgarh Sahib Shiva Sena activists marched on road in from Red light chowk to Mandi Govindgarh. They burnt effigy of J&K Govt. in protest.

It has been reported by Sri Rakesh Gurkha, Founder, IDKPYF (Internally Displaced Kashmiri Pandits Youth Federation) that a huge repercussion has been surfaced in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Jammu Region in protest of attack upon Amarnath Pilgrims at Baltal, yesterday. Noida Express Way were blocked for hours last evening. Total Bandh in Jammu is being observed today. At about 11 am today a big protest was lashed in Jantar Mantar (New Delhi) ) under the leadership of VHP and Bajrangdal to register Hindu Protest against Islamic menace in Kashmir valley, particularly against the Amarnath pilgrims in a routine fashion. Sickular (secular)  Media is censoring the Hindu Protest undermining the Hindu sentiments. However the Amarnath Yatra has been restarted from Baltal base again on Saturday. 

Three developments reported from the valley so far. 1. Communalising the matter in a high pitch, All Party Hurriyaat Conference leader Sayeed Ali Geelani claimed that the CRFP burnt 400 tents to spoil Muslim business. 2. The communal ponnywallas and tent owners have given a threat to wind up their business in a very incooperative way to stop the rest of Amarnath Yatra this year. 3. Govt facilities and securities are found inadequate in some places in Baltal route after the Yatra disorder on Friday.

   AUM. I strongly condemn the communal attack by Muslim ruffians on the Hindu Yatris and urge the Governor of J&K to punish the guilty to prevent a recurrence of this ugly attack.
   The initial reports by the print media were coloured and smacked of paid journalism. I wonder what Omar Abdullah, CM is doing in the matter.

   We the son’s of the holy Hindustan consider the pilgrimage to amaranth as the most sacred deed in our life and those who oppose it no matter you are a Muslim or some shit say your last prayers before even thinking of doing so…..this is a prayer to all those people who are trying to oppose our ways….jai hind
