Atul Brahmachari | HENB | Dhaka | June 27, 2016:: An Ayurvedic practitioner and medicinal herbs supplier named Sulal Chowdhury from Rauzan, Chittagong was beheaded by suspected Islamic terrorists during Ramadan as reported in Bangladesh internet news media Eibela.

Unknown assailants have hacked Kabiraj Chowdhury a resident of  Rouzan Upazila, 3no. Union, and ward no 5 Chikdair of Nilkamal Kabiraj Bari, Chittagong on 25th June, 2016. The Chowdhury families of Rauzan are known as Kabiraj and engaged in Ayurvedic practice of medicines which is opposed by the Radical Islamists in Bangladesh.

On Saturday night, Sulal was returning from his dispensary at Fatikchari Azadi bazaar. He was coming with a CNG run auto-rickshaw from there. When he came to the Noyazizpur Natunhat, he changed his transport for hiring a rickshaw to reach his village at Chikdair. When he reached to the Noyazipur-Chikdair bridge, some criminals barricaded his path and started chopping at Sulal’s throat and neck. Sulal died on spot.

Champa Chowdhary, Sulal’s wife said, “My husband informed me that he reached Natunhat. But after waiting a reasonable time, I rang him, but he didn’t receive my call and found the mobile closed”.

Qapayat Ullaha, the in charge of Roujan police station told that suspected militants perhaps killed Sulal. The dead body of Sulal was sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Though the  modus operandi of the killing could not be ascertained, the Jihadi style of hacking hinted some radical hands behind the murder of Sulal. No Jihadi groups took any responsibility so far for  this brutal killing in Ramadan.

Investigation was started and a murder case was initiated, as told SI Khalil, the second officer of Rauzan Police Station. But, no arrests so far made anyway.

Paritush Chowdhary, the newly elected member for the post of UP chairman of Chikdair union told the media that he was busy for preparing for formal oath taking ceremony on Sunday. And the killers fixed the date on Saturday to kill his brother (son of uncle) brutally for putting a hurdle on it.

The Bangladesh Press and Media concerns suppressed this news for saving the so called ‘secular face’ of  Bangladesh which has been totally exposed in this Ramadan days!

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina Wazed is totally failure to protect the safety and security Bangladesh minorities and her Indian counterpart PM Modi is too much busy with Yoga, NSG etc. and naturally gets no time to see the plight of BD minority Hindus.
