Shridhar Upadhyaya | HENB | Gorakhpur | Feb 23, 2017:: A day after controversially used to level his opponents in UP polls to the 26/11 Mumbai attack terrorist Ajmal Kasab by coining a potentially divisive acronym, BJP national president Amit Shah stepped up his attack on Thursday saying a river of cattle blood had flowed in the state during Congress, SP and BSP regimes.
Promising that a BJP government in UP will shut down all slaughterhouses in the state, Shah said at a public meet at Nichlaul town in Maharajganj district: ” A river of cow, buffalo and oxen blood has flowed in UP during the Congress, SP and BSP rule.We (BJP) will create a river of milk and ghee in the state.”
On Wednesday, on the eve of voting for the fourth phase of the assembly elections, Shah told a poll rally at Chauri Chaura assembly segment of Gorakhpur that development will elude the state “until you get rid of this Kasab”.
“Ye Uttar Pradesh ki janata is baar ke chunav mein is Kasab se mukti paa le. Main phir se bolta hun, Uttar Pradesh ki janata is baar ke chunav mein is Kasab se mukti paa le. Kasab se mera matlab kuchch aur mat nikaliyega. Kasab se mera matlab hai: Ka se Congress, Sa se Samajwadi Party aur B se… (BSP),” Shah said.
Shah’s remarks come a few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the ruling SP of discriminating between communities in Uttar Pradesh and said if a village gets a kabristan (Muslim graveyard), it should also get a shamshaan (Hindu cremation ground).
