6:00 pm: The matter is in the Court, the decision should be given early. Ram mandir demand is pending for 30 years now. It has also been proved that the temple was there. Supreme Court should quickly give its verdict. Supreme Court is not giving priority to the case. Justice delayed is justice denied, says Mohan Bhagwat at Hunkar Sabha in Nagpur. In his speech Bhagwat mentioned the mammoth Ayodhya rally and demands of Hindus for early construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple.
5:39 pm: VHP says will not cede an inch of land for anything but Ram temple+
5:15 pm: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that people should press the ruling government to find out ways to build a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. “Anyone can tell reasons why Ram Temple can’t be built, but we have to find out the reason why and how it should be built,” Bhagwat said. Bhagwat further added that Indian society wants a Ram Temple to be built in Ayodhya. RSS chief was addressing in Hunkar Sabha Rally organised by VHP in Nagpur.
5:00 pm: The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) on Sunday wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind, seeking his urgent intervention into the developments in Ayodhya, where the VHP has organised a public meeting to press for construction of a Ram temple. An umbrella body of more than a dozen Muslim religious and social organisations, the AIMMM said in its letter that the presence of “unruly mobs” in Ayodhya is a clear pointer to the way things are moving in an unchecked manner in Uttar Pradesh. The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) on Sunday wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind, seeking his urgent intervention into the developments in Ayodhya, where the VHP has organised a public meeting to press for construction of a Ram temple.
4:50 pm: “Modi Govt must understand the feelings of crores of Hindus on Ayodhya Ram Temple. Today’s mega Hindu convention in Ayodhya shows the unity of Hindus for the construction of a magnificent Temple of Ram Janmabhoomi. We will meet PM Modi with this message and We and Modi must find a solution for Ram Temple and that will be declared on 11th Dec on the day winter session of parliament to commence”, Senior Hindu Seer Swami Rambhadracharya in a press conference.

4:45:: In a 1992 specter, some Muslims move out of Ayodhya, Faizabad. The congregation of right-wing activists in Ayodhya for Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s mega event for construction of Ram temple has triggered the painful memories of the 1992 tragedy among many residents, with a few Muslim families temporarily leaving the town fearing for their safety. 3.00 pm: VHP Dharma Sabha ends with a resolution to spread its movement for Ram mandir nationwide without any deadline. That proves VHP’s inclination to hang the Ram Temple issue upto next election and to help BJP to came to power again. A section of Hindu saints are displeased with the VHP’s motivation to misuse their saffron robes to return Modi in power again. ABP Lives gives an update that the Central Govt may declare a positive decision on 11 Dec in favour of Ram Temple seeing the obstinate demand of sooner construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya
3:15 pm: Addressing the sabha after the inauguration marked by chanting of mantras at the Badey Bhaktmaal ki Bagia, Ramji Das said:”The date for construction of the Ram temple will be declared in the 2019 Kumbh which will be held in Prayagraj”. “It is only a matter of few days, and I request you all to show some patience,” the seer remarked.
3.11 pm: The construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is not a political issue. Shri Ram is the deity for entire India, Thackeray would get his blessings too: Devendra Fadnavis
2:30 pm: The case is in the Supreme Court, we should either wait for orders or find consensus. The government has a lot of land, it (Ram Temple) can be constructed across the Sarayu river. There should be no talk of temple on a disputed land,” says Shivpal Yadav, leader od the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia
2:05 pm: VHP Sant or Ram Bhakton Samavesh (Dharma Sansad) in Ayodhya are seen in a fighting mood. The Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas President Mahant Nrityagopal Das Ji Maharaj blessed the vast congregation. VHP Intl Secy Champat Rai declined to share any land of Ram Janmabhoomi with other than Hindus only to build only Ram Temple there.

2:01 pm: Build Ram Temple Or You Won’t Remain In Power, Says Uddhav Thackeray+
2:00 pm: “We received an alert from the IB (Intelligence Bureau) a few days back. It was a non-specific alert. Action is being taken. People from intelligence agencies under state government and Centre have been deployed there and are monitoring the situation,” the ADG (law and order) added.
1:45 pm: Uttar Pradesh ADG (law and order) Anand Kumar said Ayodhya has been divided into zones. “Security scheme has been implemented. Red zone and yellow zone are two main security zones. The state government, state police and administration are committed to upholding the directions given by the Supreme Court and the High Court.”
1:30 pm: Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a political rally in Rajasthan’s Alwar, today attacked the Congress party over the Ram Temple issue. Modi said Congress’ Rajya Sabha MPs used to favour resolution of the Ram Temple issue before 2019 since elections will be held that year. “It is not correct to drag the judicial system into politics,” he rued.
1:00 pm: Rashtriya Swayamevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat will today address the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s ‘dharma sabha’ in Maharashtra’s Nagpur over the matter of Ram Temple later today, news agency ANI has reported.
12:59 pm: “We are prepared to meet all challenges, all arrangements are in place in the town, the district and its border area to avoid any untoward incident. We are keeping a tight vigil and security around Ram Janmabhoomi site has also been stepped up,” a senior official told PTI
12:57 pm: The streets of Ayodhya are filled with right-wing activists who have poured in from various parts of the country for the event
12:25 pm: “Everyone is going there due to elections. Who stopped Uddhav Thackeray from going there in past four-five years? On the one hand, they are friends with the BJP and on the other, they want to tell people they are interested in constructing the RamTemple and are pressurising the government. People won’t be befooled,” says Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.
12:05 pm: “How can Shiv Sena hijack the Ram Mandir issue? The people who thrash north Indians and drive them out, who don’t even have the mentality to serve humanity, how will they serve lord Ram?,” asks BJP MLA Surendra Singh.
11:50 am: The BJP’s youth wing comes out with “Ram Dhun”. The one-minute devotional song can be downloaded as a ringtone to mobile phones by devotees. National general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Abhijat Mishra, said the “Ram Dhun” is meant to “effectively propagate the message about Ram temple construction in Ayodhya”.
11:35 am: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya says Shiv Sena had no role in the Ram Temple movement. “There is no problem in Uddhav Thackeray catching a glimpse of Ram Lalla… But, had Balasaheb Thackeray been alive, he would have prevented Uddhav from doing whatever he is doing,” Maurya tells PTI on the phone. “The Shiv Sena had no role in the temple movement or even in the Dharma Sabha, though Balasaheb Thackeray would support the Vishwa Hindu Parishad,” he adds.
11:20 am: The Dharma Sabha, which has been organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, has begun amidst heightened security. Over 100 prominent Hindu seers are taking part in the religious congregation.
11:14am: BJP shows its monopoly in Ram Mandir issue. Now they have fielded its controversial MLA to oppose Shiv Sena’s presence in Ayodhya.

11:08 am: Serious security lapse in Ayodhya as a crowd equipped with weapons are permitted close to Dharma Sabha’s venue in Ayodhya. Times Now reported that some men are carrying rods, sticks, katars and swords outside the Sabha venue. Albeit the group leader alleges that the weapons are just for optics, yet it raises serious questions on the preparedness of the UP Police.

10:52 am: Uddhav Thackeray further says: “This will be the last session before elections. So, get an ordinance. Do anything but build the temple at the earliest. Atal ji had said Hindu maar nahi khaayega. But now, Hindus won’t even stay quiet. I felt different vibes when I went to get darshan of Ram Lalla. I felt as if I had come to a jail to offer prayers.”
10:45 am: “I told the saints who blessed me yesterday that the work which we are about to begin cannot be done without their blessings. I have no hidden agenda behind Ayodhya visit. I’ve come to express sentiments of all Indians and Hindus across the world. Hindus in this country are asking when will Ram Mandir be constructed. How long should we wait? It is disappointing. (Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister) Yogi (Adityanath) had said Mandir tha, hai aur rahega. This is our perception and intention. It’s saddening that Mandir is not yet visible. Woh mandir dikhega kab?” asks Uddhav Thackeray.
10:25 am: Meanwhile, Raj Thackeray-led opposition Maharashtra Navnirman Sena mocked Uddhav Thackeray’s Ayodhya visit by putting up posters near Shiv Sena headquarters, saying: “Gone to Ayodhya, but resignation still in pocket”. Notably, the MNS has been daring the Shiv Sena to quit the NDA at the Centre and State.
10:10 am: News agency IANS has mentioned VHP leaders as saying that Hindu devotees and supporters of Ram temple from approximately 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh have been mobilised for today’s event. Senior VHP leaders have been camping in the temple town for some time now to supervise arrangements for the Dharma Sabha.
10:00 am: Heavy security deployment is in place in Ayodhya ahead of VHP’s Dharma Sabha in which Hindu seers will spell out their strategy to put pressure on the government for an early construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
9:42 am: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray returns to Panchvati hotel after visiting the Ram Lalla temple. On Saturday, Thackeray had demanded that the ruling ally Bharatiya Janata Party should declare the “date” of the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya. “The Hindus of the country will not remain silent any longer — they will ask questions ‘tell us the date when you will construct the Ram temple’. I have come to take the exact date from you,” he said while addressing supporters.

9:06 am: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray leaves his hotel for darshan of Ram Lalla. Meanwhile, close circuit cameras have been installed at over 150 places in Ayodhya along with drone-mounted ones hovering over the streets to keep a tab on the surging crowds.
9:00 am: Ayodhya is a fortress ahead of VHP’s Dharma Sabha. Forty-eight companies of the provincial armed constabulary (PAC) and 15 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed on all major roads and intersections. Barriers could be seen on busy thoroughfares to ensure that mob control is easy in the situation of any untoward incident.
