The two sisters Sahiba and Rabeli from Karachi came to India along with their husbands and children in 2013 to the National Capital Region.
Speaking about the life before coming to India, Sahiba says, “Life was tough for women and girls in Pakistan. Grown-up girls and young women would get picked up, sexually assaulted or be forced to convert to Islam, and we could do nothing about it. We lived in fear and therefore decided to move to India.”
Since coming to India, they live in transit camps Bhatti Mines Sanjay Colony settlement, on the fringes of the Delhi-Haryana border.
Others like Kiran lament that refugees face identity crisis thought they consider India as their homeland – “people here refer to us as Pakistanis.”
One thing that has become very clear, is that the pseudo-secular fanatics protesting against the CAA care nothing for ordinary human beings – they are driven by a bizarre conception of ‘secularism’ that amounts to appeasing jihadis constantly.
We’ve reached the point where if you are Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist or Zoroastrian – the only major political party in the country that cares for you, is the BJP. The rest are all (Sunni) Muslims-first and (Sunni) Muslims-only.
The North-East has understandable concerns (which the government is trying to address), but these jihadi-lovers are simply hostile to an Indian government that, assists non-Muslims – the overwhelming majority of the Indian population. It’s as if the opposition wants to keep losing elections – or thinks that non-Muslims are so stupid that in the name of ‘secularism’ they will close their eyes to the atrocities being committed against them.
