Christian Pastor booked for kidnap, sexual assault of minor girl who was converted with her Hindu Mother few months back in Andhra Pradesh. 

Taking advantage of the situation, the pastor allegedly lured the girl and assaulted her sexually on the promise of marriage under the blessings of Jesus!

B Upendran | HENB | Vijayawada | Dec 8, 2022:: A church pastor was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl and sexually assaulting her. According to Gannavaram circle inspector Satyanarayana, the accused G Nageswara Rao, the devout evangelic preacher used to work as a pastor at a church in Nuzvid in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh.

He met the victim, a  minor girl, a few months ago when she used to visit the church to offers prayers along with her mother. Her mother requested the pastor to pray for her health. Taking advantage of the situation, the pastor allegedly lured the girl and assaulted her sexually on the promise of marriage to be blessed with Father and his son. 

The accused pastor took advantage at the time, police said. 

Upon learning about the behaviour of the pastor, the girl’s mother sent her to her relatives’ house in Mustabad. The accused allegedly abducted her from Mustabad and took her to Hyderabad again to run the sexual activities (sexual assault and unnatural sex) in the church premises. When the pastor and the girl were traced in an intimate scene, the girl was brought back to her home with the help of police. The victim girl was given counselling.

The pastor was booked under relevant sections of the POCSO act and produced in court, the police said.

Faith betrayed

The pastor met the victim a few months ago when she used to visit the church to offers prayers along with her mother after they were converted into Christanity from Hindu faith. It is said that the victim is the daughter of a separated mother torn in the poverty and backwardness. After being lured by the pastor she changed her religion with her daughter with an aspiration to get help from the church authority. But, the pastor exploited the situation  taking an advantage of the situation.
